hands-down, a very enjoyable experience. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The lamb burger that I ordered was cooked exactly as I asked and was exceptional in taste. I will definitely be coming back when I’m hankering for a burger.
It was my first time at 5 Star Burgers. I had the Taos Burger with fries. BEST. BURGER. EVER. Hands down. Tammy was our waitress and her service was unbeatable.
Growing up in NE Albuquerque, 5 Star Burger used to be my favorite burger spot. And once I turned 21, obviously turned into a great spot for happy hour drinks. Finally coming back and visiting Albuquerque after several years, I was glad to see this spot still busy during happy hour. I could be wrong but the burgers do seem a bit smaller than I remember and not as amazing. It’s still a solid burger but I can’t really complain about their happy hour pricing!
We met friends for a quick lunch and everything was good. Our server was so attentive and no one had to ask for a thing. I'd recommend the fried green beans! I would eat them as a meal next time. We loved the beer samples as well. The restaurant was clean and service was very quick. It wasn't too loud or crowded, which may be due to the snowstorm coming into town. Will be going back.
This burger joint seems to have a better reputation than actual burgers. They aren't bad, but also aren't exceptional.
I had the build-your-own burger option with Gorgonzola cheese and sautéed mushrooms. The build-your-own burgers do not come with sauces or have suggested sauces to add; they come dry. They also do not come with a side; those are sold separately.
The service was fine, the burger fine, the atmosphere fine. It was all just... fine. And I'll instantly forget about it.
The food was excellent and everything on the menu sounded amazing. Our server, Tammy, was top notch - kind, courteous, funny, and efficient. Definitely will come back again!

Bar or restaurant: More of a bar scene. Good abeyance and decor. All ages. Take out. Patio seating. Bar seating.
Used to be my favorite burger joint. I'm not sure what happened, but it's just gone down hill. I ordered the medium-rare Taos Burger, it was just some cow cremated on the sun. It was extra well-done. That wasn't even the worst part, though; it had way more BBQ sauce than normal. Like, ounces of the atuff. The burger was hardly even visible through the sauce, and the bun was soaked straight through. I had to eat it with a fork and knife.
I'm really regretting eating the half or so burger that I ate.
