Absolutely loved everything about this place, well except the drive to get there, but that's not their fault ????.
We had to go to Howell to pick up a rescue dog to add to our family and saw this as an interesting place and decided to give it a try. I'm very happy we did.
No entrance from the front of the building, so park in back. You'll then have the option of stairs on the left, or elevator on the right. We entered by elevator and left by stairs, because we didn't see the stairs as we came around the side of the building from the front.
They don't do reservations, but you can call ahead and get on the waiting list if they're currently experiencing a wait. Took advantage of this as we were driving over an hour to get there and only had to wait 10 minutes.
Our seating was maybe the only downside of the visit, but that's just because the lighting at our table was quite poor. Other tables seemed to be well lit.
Food was nearly perfect, tuna is a must get, such an amazing appetizer. The beef stroganoff was incredibly flavorful and filling, the noodle bowl however was a very small portion compared to everything else and presentation could have been better by simply wiping the edge where the sauce splattered.
We liked it so much, we are planning a trip back in July with friends.
Very impressed with the delicious food and the waitstaff! Everyone was helpful. Waiter/Mgmt Trainee Liam was awesome!
Husband and I both had the cheeseburger and garlic mashed potatoes. The Mary Pickford cocktail was enjoyable kinda sweet-tart ????????
My first visit to 2fogs ever. A friend of mine Suggested we go there and have dinner. It was a fantastic choice. The food was great. I had the beef stroganoff, and it was delicious. One of the partners, Holly, stopped at our table and had a conversation with us. She is just an awesome person. I wish there were more like her in this world. I can’t believe I waited this long to try the place and I will definitely be back
Amazing hidden gem. It's downstairs from ground level like a speakeasy would be. Great atmosphere, like you're in a basement or cellar of a fancy building, in a good way. The food is amazing. The pork chops are way better than they should be for the price. My wife loved the salmon. They're bar is equally impressive with a spirits menu that will take a moment to peruse to decide your perfect drink. A return visit is definitely warranted.
Bartender knew the drinks thoroughly. She also appropriately recommended drinks after asking a few questions about our taste in liquor. Ace has a fun vibe. I didn't eat the food, but would definitely recommend this place
Such a fun spot with a cozy atmosphere that gives off secluded speakeasy vibes. They play jazz music and have amazing and attentive service. Plus, my favorite salad-The Michigander! It comes with homemade bacon vinaigrette that really makes the salad unique and so flavorful. I have to say that their blackened salmon is the best I’ve ever had! My favorite Howell eatery!
This place is fantastic. Next time I'm back in town I will definitely be stopping here. Make sure that you know how to get there or you ask for directions because the entrance is not on the main Street. It's in the back alley so it's kind of cool. It's almost like a hidden gem but everybody knows where it is
They had some of the best spirits selection I've ever seen and the bartender was fantastic. When I visited it was the night before St. Patty's Day so it was a little maybe busier than usual, but I met some fantastic people and we had a great time, shared some laughs, shared some drinks and shared some stories and the portobello burger was unbelievably good.
If you're drinking quality booze, don't be surprised when you get a hefty bill.
My filet was fine but rather boring. They forgot the zip sauce. The fries were pretty good (above average). The house salad was nice. Very nice service. Very cool location (a little hard to locate the first time, it's underground and the entrance is located at the back.
They were out of my first choice: mushroom chicken.
My wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits. She said it was different than the normal from the South (we live in FL).
My daughter did not like the cactus chili (it was sweet) but the Caesar salad was good.
My son enjoyed the sliders.
My dad had the bruschetta "pasta" which was very different.
