Where to start?? Our first room smelled DISGUSTING. We talked to front desk and they were nice enough to switch our room. I was surprised to learn there was a continental breakfast. The breakfast left much to be desired.
I decided to finally take advantage of the “complimentary” stays I kept getting emailed about. I booked directly from the email that was sent to me. I read the fine print that said they would charge my card for “deposit” reasons which I understood. I really thought that my account was linked to my reservation. Boy was I wrong. I paid the hotel and expected the hold on my debit card to be reversed. It was not. I called and was told that because my rewards account was not linked to my booking I was charged the hotel stay. NEVER AGAIN will I be booking “complimentary” stays. The slots are ok but do yourself a favor and avoid this scam of a place. It stinks and they rip you off.
We visited Hobbs on a trip and decided to stay here. We were here two nights. Contrary to some reviews I won $100.00 in the casino. But I was terribly disappointed in this Hotel. The dinner in the Fine Dining restaurant was not fine dining. It wasn't bad, it was just not elevated and worth the price paid. The room did not seem clean but perhaps it is just dated. The hours that housekeeping are there is very limited. The refrigerator didn't work and was filthy. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The staff throughout the hotel were honestly very helpful and good natured.
Tried requesting a few things from guest services that we never wound up getting. The free breakfast was a joke nothing but bread and cereal. They have salt, pepper, and tobasco but what would that even go on? The room has a weird smell to it that wouldn't go away. The casino was a rip off, absolutely nobody was winning despite everyone putting in a lot of money and playing for a long time. Overall, that's the last time I'll visit this place.
The slots are nice and modern and make all the right noises, but they don't payout much. The Hotel is nice and modern but in poor repair; the room smelled like mildew and decay. There was no cold water in the shower, so I could only rinse a few seconds at a time. The faucets in the sink leaked badly. Ventilation was too noisy but I left it running to help dissipate the awful smell. I would have complained but there usually isn;t anybody at the front desk. The price is cheaper than the Holiday inn though.
I love this casino & hotel. They don't just offer complimentary rooms during the week. And the casino pays...or as some would say is loose. Great place & even greater staff.
The casino doesn’t have a non-smoking section. I went in and was immediately welcomed by a horrible odor and a breath of thick smoke. If you do not enjoy smelling like a cigarette, this is definitely not the place for you. Definitely will not return.
So fun and pays well lol, i love the black jack machines, not many casinos have them! my Man, his son, and i had alot of fun :)
Gambling is definitely an emotional roller-coaster. Highs and lows! Friday and Saturday nights the place is packed, which is alright if you want to talk to anyone whom catches your eye! Staff is excellent. The promotional giveaways don't seem to be drawn enough, to me. All in all, it's pretty decent if you're looking for a good time.
