Best WLM Reviews
We totally loved the malatang! My husband swears it's super authentic and brought back memories from 20 years ago. For me, it's hands down the best malatang in town, and the place itself is really clean and tidy. Can't figure out why there are so many negative reviews though. Our recent dine-in experience was actually really awesome!
The food itself is good. However, there was construction going on next door when we were having our food - quite loud so that’s a big turnoff.
Some of the best hot pot in NYC!
I come in to the store as a new customer, they explain me how the service work, you get to choose your own ingredients to prepare a soup and love it!!! Little expensive but it's worth it!!!
The food is mediocre. Many veggies are not fresh too. What’s more important, it’s not an honest business. The final charged amount ($75) appeared on my credit card is more than the amount I suggested ($68). Clearly they add more tips behind the scene. Definitely not worth the price. Avoid this restaurant.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!
tried ordering on uber eats, but something told me to check reviews first. BUGS IN THE FOOD EVERYWHERE! not even like just flies or something, but cockroaches, A WHOLE CRICKET, MAGGOTS???? absolutely disgusting. and people are saying the servers have attitude too? this has to be a money laundering front or something.
Malatang tastes really good but found bugs inside. I ordered to go and we were almost done with the food and saw a caterpillar or a maggot in my ricecake. As soon as I saw that, I checked my bowl again and found a small fly. It's summer and I got some vegetables so it could happen but I do not want to see bugs in my food
Not that much people in the evening of Sunday. CDC card checked to sit-in. We got the dry hotpot style that came with 2 rice serving bowls. Overall, $34 spent. Food amount were suitable for 2 hungry people or 3 not so hungry group. This place would be difficult for new customers who don't speak Chinese to figure out how to order, but people, including customers are generally friendly to help. A little bit of spicy is pretty spicy already so order with the thought that the spicy is at a higher scale.
