My truck broke while on vacation in Twaine Hart. I called this place and they were very helpful and able to fix my truck before I needed to leave! Fast, kind and well priced. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better mechanic experience.
I was driving up Highway 108 to Pinecrest Lake and stopped at Zak's to check a small problem. Nothing wrong there but my 1991 Toyota truck wouldn't start up again. Mechanic Dave at Zak's was very professional and took a few minutes to clean old corrosion off cable connection from battery. Friendly guy with a nice dog. Got on my way and he helped save my vacation. Nice folks at the service desk inside and the mechanic outside.
We were driving up on 108 when our snow chains broke near Mi Wuk Village. Called an auto shop there but they were closed. I then called Zaks and asked for assistance. WE were very new with driving on snowy conditions and were not sure if we were dealing with the snow chains correctly. The girl in the shop patiently answered all my questions. I had to drive back 2 miles to reach their shop. They do not install snow chains, but was able to look at my broken ones. She had new snow chains for my tire size in stock and again aptienrly went thru on how to install them. She agreed to come out to the car and show us how to do it. But we would have to do it ourselves. Again was very impressed with how she wanted to help and guide ad not just sell the chains and be done. Really thankful to her on a day we were having so much difficulties.
My daughter needed to get a smog, They don't do smogs any more. They may do fine work but not needed, just a smog.
My mechanic at auto motion recommended Zak's for a smog check. They are great....just make an appointment.very accommodating!
Went in for a smog check,got to me a few minutes before my appointment and was done about 15 minutes later. Excellent service
been going here for all my automotive needs for as long as i can remember but never going back
