Food and Service is excellent! Best authentic Chinese dishes in town! Best freshest Chinese food I have eaten in many years. Very clean and well kept restaurant my only problem was it was very cold inside but the food was really hot and stayed hot throughout our meal from start to finish so me being chilly was soon forgotten. Service was quick and food was plentiful. I Highly recommend this place. I will be back. Who knew just simple salt and pepper dishes would be so very amazing!
The portions are very good for the prices. This was the best chinese food ive ever had honestly. I love they dont put onions in the fried rice- usually a special request is required. The orange chicken was also the best ive ever had.
This is one of the best restaurants in Gainesville! Each dish portion is big enough to share so this makes it a great restaurant to try with a group of friends. Word of warning one soup will feed like 5-8 people! Anything on the menu made with their black bean sauce will be delicious. This is one of their signature sauces. We had the shrimp and scallops with mushrooms in the black bean sauce and it did not disappoint! The House Rice is also a favorite of ours. Get a group of friends and enjoy trying new things!
The restaurant is always in top-notch order, a very clean and relaxed atmosphere. The staff members are always neat, clean, pleasant, ready to serve, there when you need them, and very polite. The menu has a multitude and a large variety of items to order, including vegan selections. The food is always hot, freshly prepared and reasonably priced. The taste is something you need to experience. Trust me, you will not be disappointed and return every time you are in Gainesville, FL. What more could you ask for.
It really is yummy! We went during dim sum time, where I planned to get a dish off the menu because I thought I didn’t like dim sum. Surprise! I chose the shrimp sticky rice and really liked it, as well as the shrimp dumplings.
I love Yummy House! I've eaten at the Gainesville location and the Tampa location. And I have never been disappointed. We just left from there 5 minutes ago and omg... It was sooo good. They are so attentive. The salt and pepper dishes are a must try. Thank you so much for the great food and the great experience.
Overall yummy house was good but not my favorite Asian place in Gainesville. I got the hometown style rice noodles and it was ok, there was more than enough noodles but there could have been a bigger serving size of meat. Our food came out pretty quickly but other than that service was okay. My friend got the house lo mein and she thought it was fairly good, we also got the egg rolls as an appetizer and those were really good.
I went again and got the spicy yummy chicken which I really don’t recommend, it was wayyy too salty and doughy. My friends got the house fried rice and that looked a lot better.
We have been eating at Yummy House for over 5 years. We find the service to be exemplary at all times. We did take-out during the shut-down and they were always kind and on-time with our orders. We are happy to be back in person, where the staff take personal interest in you and make sure you are happy with your meal. Weekends are very busy, but they always get to everyone with a smile on their faces. We love the variety of food on the menu and are willing to try new things suggested by our server. Our favorites are the wonton soup, Bistro lo mein, Spicy Yummy chicken, and salt and pepper eggplant. The restaurant is quiet, nicely decorated, and the tables are spaced so you can have a pleasant meal. Don't miss the egg tarts for dessert!
