Best WLM Reviews

I ordered the ginger scallion lobster and it was $28 per lb. It was very good. They ran out of corona beer. I took clients there and they all
Loved the food. The dim sum was very good. Har gow was yummy and the seafood fried rice and scallop dumplings and shu mai was so good. I have to say the service was a bit tough. It took forever for me to pay, it felt like I was being ignored. I was just surprised because there were plenty of workers. Overall a good experience.
Okay dim sum if you don’t want to wait. Went on Sunday around 11am and got a seat right away for a table of 6.
We had to wait over 30min to get our credit card back cause they forgot about us. Would have given 3 stars if not for that.
Food quality is middle of the road. I think their pastry dishes are probably the best so treat yourself to a nice dessert.
Dishes to avoid:
-XLB (pork soup dumplings) are no bueno. Comes in a mini egg tart tin, but has barely any soup and no flavour
-Rice roll Chinese donut (hard dry donut, really sad to look at)
Out of other dim sum places I have tried in Rowland Heights, Hacienda Heights, Monterey Parks, Hollywood and Gardena, this place is so far my most favorite. Less waiting time, attentive servers who speak fluent English, food comes out fast and just in good quality. Though a little pricy, their menu has more interesting items than other restaurants.
Unlike many of the dim sum restaurants I'm accustomed to, this one doesn't have the carts going around. The menu has everything you want to eat and it comes with description & pictures for everything.
So, like many of my lunches with my boyfriend's family, his Mom always puts us in good hands by ordering nearly one of everything. The only items I was really looking forward to eat were the steamed shrimp in rice rolls, chicken feet and Chinese broccoli. Those are typically my staples every time I eat dim sum. You just gotta have them!
On the table: 2 orders of steamed shrimp in rice rolls, chicken feet, Peking duck, duck lettuce wraps, braised spare ribs, 2 orders of shumai, crispy taro dumpling, Chinese broccoli, 2 orders of hargow and 3 orders of mango pudding.
I was pleasantly surprised by how the duck was prepared. They presented all the crackling skin to be wrapped in a bao with scallions and hoisin sauce, and then the rest of the meat was made into a stir fry for lettuce wraps. A new experience for me and it was really good.
The only downfall of this restaurant was lack of service. We asked for water three times and tea wasn't promptly refilled either. It was really hard to flag someone down to so his mom basically yelled at them to get their attention. Food overall was average and nothing spectacular stood out besides the duck. If I had my choice, I'd rather go to Seafood Village for dim sum. At least the wait is worth it!
I’ve been here multiple times and every time it was amazing. It seems that during lunch hour most people get dim sum but I just gotta say the entrees are also really good - the lobster e-mein and bbq dishes are my favorite.
Service was kinda there?
Food was kinda inconsistent between "ok why am I paying this much for this" and "this is alright".
Maybe I came at a bad time, but 1230 should still be a prime lunch time.
Food was good. Service average. Portion sizes were smaller than average.
They serve good dim sum. Nicely decorated restaurant. This is authentic Cantonese food. Our family go there every month.
