3rd second chance. Generally get a pedi for the relaxation and massage, sometimes I dont even put polish on. I've been coming here since the original owners had it. No comparison. I've done the extra pedi's, the regular, each time the stone massage was short, cold stones and towel for this last one, then they hand off to speedy mcfly, the young guy for the Maaco quick paint. Beautiful remodel on the building, but the pedicures are not what you pay for. Used to like the shoulder massage at the end, too. I guess they don't have the time. Waiting for speedy to return. No base coat, 1 thin coat of color, no top coat. He never returned. another girl, this is the third person for my one singular pedicure, came cleaned up the flip-flops Et cetera, I put my shoes on and that was it. Supposed to be a light pink sparkle.
My first pedicure. My feet were really rough. It took the tech a lot of effort, but she didn't complain. The only complaint I had was the lack of communication, due to the technician not speaking any English. Great job over all. I will be back, now that I know what to expect. And I live an hour away.
This used to be my go to place ! Today I I waited 35 min for an appointment and then spent a fortune on nails that were not what my daughter wanted . First they couldn't do the design she wanted and instead of saying that, played it off like they could . When asked to take it off and just do a French tip they refused. I am so disappointed and will not be returning!
I really hate giving negative reviews. I've been to this salon 3 times and was recommending to all my friends. The first two times were great. The last time, I went with a friend for a spa pedicure and manicure. I paid extra to upgrade to the green tea spa pedicure which was supposed to give an extra long massage ($60 vs $50). My friend started her pedicure at least 10 minutes before I did, and she did not upgrade. The girl I had rushed through my pedicure. I finished at least 15 minutes before her and it was supposed to be longer. On top of rushing through the spa part of the pedicure, I did gel on my toes. She didn't even cure it long enough so it is beginning to peel after only a week! Usually it will last me over a month and I have to remove before the next one.
Now for the gel manicure. It was less than one week, and the gel peeled off in big pieces, even the full piece. If you remember the Tinker Bell nail polish back in the 80's, that is what it was like. She barely left the lamp on between each coat to cure it. She would finish polishing and move the lamp to the other hand and polish over the uncured polish. No break in between. The lamp did not shut off and she kept moving it between each hand with minimal time on each hand. By the fifth day, 2 gel nails already peeled off, the 7th day, 8 nails peeled off, today is day 9, and the last two are peeling off (see pics)
I am not hard on my nails at all. I don't use chemicals that would have caused it and I work on a computer. There's no reason that these should have peeled off after less than two weeks, let alone less than a week. I spent a lot of money to have such poor service. I don't even want to go back unless I can request Jesy or CiCi.
I saw other reviews that mentioned being rushed through a service. Perhaps it was by the same girl. This place can be great, but one bad experience really can hurt business. It's a real disappointment and I don't know if I will go back because of it.
My bill was $105 and I gave $120 cash. I gave less of a tip than what I normally do because of the poor service. But even $15 tip was too much for how lousy this service was.
Great job! My 7 yr old and 11 yr olds first pedicure and they did great and include a free design for them. The spa pedi was very relaxing. They are very friendly and the place is clean! Price point is very competitive.
Showed up today without an appointment since it was mid week. They were very busy but were able to accommodate me. I thought that I might be rushed since they were so busy, but just the opposite. I only had to wait about 15 minutes, all while my feet were soaking and the chair was massaging. When the girl came to do my pedicure she was very pleasant and took her time as if I were the only person there. This was a very pleasant experience.
Yu Nails is fantastic! Cici and her husband (and their adorable dog, Barbie) are THE most lovely people, and the nail techs are wonderful. Best pedicures around!!! And as far as manicures, SO many color choices! Clean and very accommodating!
The Yu Nail Spa always does a great job. The team is very talented. There may be a wait even if you have an appointment so just plan for that in advance.
