Non resident just passing through and was given recommendation to stop at Yorks.
The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Ordered just the basic fried fish and chips. The fish piece was large with perfect coating and was very good.
Will definitely stop in again the next time I'm in the area.
It's been a while since I visited this place and was very surprised to see their tiny fried fish! I was used to having a long, large fried fish on my plate! We are told everything was cut! French fries very little amount. And prices are way more!
Well... I think I will have o fry my own fish next time!
I have been here many times, but it has been awhile. Decided to stop on my way out of town. Wow,are we disappointed. Had a beer while they made our togo order. Our order came to $50.00 dollars and came with NO SIDES. I got to the car and unpacked our food... mom got hers no pics. We walked to Burger King for fries. The scallops are awful...everyone else liked everything else... 2 stars because it used to be better
On the expensive side. I got two 1 Piece fish combos for $28. The fish was absolutely delicious the fries were just ok and really needed salt. The tartare sauce was also delicious.
I can't tell you how many times I wanted to eat here but they were closed unfortunately their hours are very short but their food is excellent if you can find them open.
Priced way too high for fish that isn't very fresh. Found mine way too tough and over cooked. It's a shame, but what can you expect from seafood so far inland.
They have some of the best battered fish and chips locally in my opinion. While waiting for food I noticed most orders were to go though there was plenty of sitting room.
Called to place an order for two days in a row. Nobody answered the phone so I decided to drop by to see if they were closed for good. Sign said open... couldn't see anyone inside...no customers or staff visible. It's not just this establishment but all over...sizes have been reduced while the price has risen...and sadly, nobody appears to want to work anymore!
