Best WLM Reviews
This place was so good, we went back the next morning before heading back home. The Countryside Skillet was awesome. The potatoes were cooked perfectly soft, and all the meats, cheese, and eggs blended together so well. The pancakes were great, the banana bread French toast did the thing. Grits were on point. The corned beef hash& eggs was good with the perfectly cooked potatoes. You can definitely tell the corned beef did not come out of a can. The waitresses were nice and kept our cups full. The atmosphere was cozy and clean. It was an overall great experience. We'll probably be having breakfast here every time we visit Nap-Town.
Back for my second visit 11/4 on Saturday at around 11am. This place was crowded and very busy, we had a short wait to be seated. There is plenty of free parking available and handicap parking out front. The restaurant has plenty of choice’s for seating, table side, booth seating and a diner counter at the kitchen. Lots of wait staff, service was quick. As before the cook was slow, but the food was well worthy of the wait. Today I had the “Country side skillet” consisting of :
Seasoned potatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. With a side of country gravy and pancakes. For 18$ I substituted sourdough toast for pancakes. The strawberry/grape jelly is outstanding! What a great topping for your toast. And the wife decided on the “YOLK ALL-STAR COMBO”
2 eggs any style, 2 sausage links. 2 sices of bacon and your choice of
2 pancakes, 2 crepes, 2 slices of french toast or half a waffle 16$ she substituted the bacon for two more pieces of turkey sausage. and added some “Cheesy grits” for 5$ our server was a delightful young man named James, he was very attentive, and was a great server. I really like my meal it had a lot of flavors. It was quite delicious. The wife enjoyed hers as well, but said the cheesy grits lacked any flavor she was not a fan. But other than that this was a great place with great service good food nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and parking. I would recommend this place to anyone.
On my last visit I had the -
“THE WORKS OMELET” this is a 5 egg omelette. With bacon, sausage, ham, mushroom, onion, tomato, cheddar. Comes with potatoes and pancakes. I substituted sourdough toast for the pancakes. The toast came with butter and strawberry/grape jelly on the side. The prices here are reasonable and the food and service top notch! Had a great breakfast here! Thanks a lot????????
This will be a must-visit for us the next time we are driving through Indy. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were HUGE and easily shareable, although we wanted to try a few different items.
The eggs Benedict was top notch with some of the best skillet potatoes we’ve ever tried. My mother’s DIY omelet was stuffed full of toppings. My kale and goat cheese scramble was good too and their pancakes are nice and fluffy.
Gina gave us great service and was helpful in deciding what to eat. Will be back!
I went to this place with my mom, and we enjoyed the interior, atmosphere, and the food. The service was also good; however, our server seemed to recite memorized sentences which is not a problem. She is probably a newbie. While I would give five stars for the food, the experience was marred as we found a plastic piece in the red velvet cake we brought home as leftovers which is unfortunate since it was found from the piece that we brought home :( and can’t address the issue with the server.
I have been in Indiana for almost 2 months and this has to be the best breakfast I have had since arriving here. Highly recommend it. Came on a Sunday during rush and was still greeted fast and food was out in a decent time. Servers are very friendly. Not just one server assists you. They all work together. Definitely coming back.
This place was so good! I got a hazelnut latte (a go-to choice for me at various breakfast restaurants) and I genuinely think it was the best one I've ever had. Maybe the best latte. It was very creamy and light, the hazelnut flavor wasn't overpowering. 10/10
I had their Chilaquiles Verdes and they were also 10/10. So filling, very flavorful, especially with the added chorizo.
We also got the Hey Ricky! Omelet, and the corned beef and hash. It's hard to recommend one over another because they were all so good.
Even my leftovers were amazing the next day.
I came here for brunch with my family. When I walked through the door, I saw many tables were leaving food instead of taking it with them which is never a good first sign. We ordered a croque madame and york berry bliss with a muffin. First, the york berry bliss had fruit that tasted a little weird and were very mushy. The yogurt was too sweet and they added honey so the dish was sweet on sweet and too much for a breakfast parfait. Second, the muffin was warmed which is appreciated. However, the muffin was overly dense and felt heavy. Lastly, the croque madame was too sweet because of the bread and could have been balanced if more dijon sauce was added. Overall, the food is overly sweet and not balanced. We left most of the food on the table after a couple of bites. The only redeeming factor was the service. The server was very nice and we felt well taken care of. I discuss with to the server that the food was not good and she apologized. Due to the service, I give this place 2 stars and thankful for the service. I would not recommend this place unless you have a strong sweet tooth first thing in the morning.
New favorite place in Indy to get breakfast. I had heard from many people that it was good and my family and I were not disappointed. Great portion sizes and options.
Delicious Biscuits and Gravy, seasoned potatoes, and drinks.
My favorite was the Nutella crepes and biscuits and gravy.
