Best WLM Reviews

Came here over the weekend because I had some relatives visiting from Korea.
Food was alright, not great, but also not the worst.
Experience was terrible.
- asked one of the servers if side dish refills were free (saw on here that they charge for side dish refills (what kind of Korean restaurant does that???). The server reluctantly said they would not charge for side dish refills.
-people were smoking outside the entrance and tick cigarette smoke was wafting into our area next to the door so I closed it a few times and the server snapped at me demanding to know why I kept closing the door.
-they charged us for takeaway containers (which is fine) but after we closed out the bill and discovered that we needed 2 extra containers, the server wanted to charge us again for the containers. Like seriously? I just spent $350+ here and you're going to nickel-and-dime me for a to-go container? Brought this up to the server as well and she basically screamed at us demanding we pay for the containers.
Won't come back. Can get better food and hospitality elsewhere.
This hidden gem is cherished by locals who truly appreciate the rich flavors and traditions of Korean cuisine. Embraced by K-Town E-Mo's and Samchuns alike, this place may have a modest rating of 3.5 stars, but don't underestimate its popularity. If you don't understand its allure or can't handle a passionate E-mo, it might not be the right fit for you. The owner has been in the game longer than you can imagine, so approach it with respect and an open mind. The menu only in Korean and cash-preferred payment policy also adds to its wonderful old-fashioned charm.
This is the the best Kimchi Jjigae with Pork belly!!!!! This is it!!! Speechless!
And check the picture of side dishes!
It's lots of kind side dishes and the taste are (again) SPEECHLESSLY awesome!
If you love korean food, you should check here out!
We came on a Sat afternoon around 12pm because we were craving their mung bean pancakes. The four of us placed 2 orders of the mung bean pancakes, kimchi pork belly stir fry and 2 bottles of makgeolli. We were just trying to enjoy our first meal of the day but unfortunately our appetite was killed by the service. One of the waitress spoke to us in Korean in a condescending voice teaching us that they are not a bar and that they are a restaurant. We were not loud and it was not a packed house that we were taking up their space. It's sad that the food is good but their service really needs to be better. Also, make sure you check your bill because they be adding extra stuff without your knowledge
There were a lot of people saying that the staff is unkind but I thought they were very polite. I think the problem for most people is that they don't speak English. I speak Korean so I had no issues at all. Also, most of the menu is not translated into English. If you have a Korean friend, make sure to bring them with you.
I feel really bad for this place because the food was actually pretty good especially lots of tasty side dishes like your mom would made at home. The waitresses were okay, but the issue was the owner. She should learn how to communicate with customers. If you don't want to talk to clients with manner, you shouldn't be in the business. It wasn't the language barrier (I was talking to her in Korean), but the pure character of hers. Don't care how good the food there, I never want to deal with the owner, ever again.
I'm leaving my intial review, because I think my updated review will have more impact this way. I was until last night a regular at this place for the past 6 months, since I found it after finding 45 minute waits at my regular places and was too hungry to wait. I loved this place. I told everyone about it. But what a difference a day can make. They refused me service. Yes, really. I showed up at 8:45 and the place was not busy on a Friday. They had most tables open. I asked to be seated and they showed me a table in the middle, I did not like because it was in front of the door. I asked for the table in the back-side. The Hostess/waitress/manger/whoever, then told me they close at 9 and they aren't seating anymore tables. They actually close at 10. I've been there late, probably after 10. I accepted their decision and had a pleasant meal at Road To Soul. I can't keep up a 5 Star rating for a restaurant that refused me service so now it's a 1 star and the friend I was with gave them 1 star, on Yelp. I am so personally hurt by this experience. A great restaurant has fallen.
This Old Review no longer true: "Amazing Bon-Chon. Great value. Good food. All this for $52.00 American. Friendly staff."
Good but overpriced. Their sengsamgyupsal kimchi jjim seems to be one of their main items, but was not that good. Ojingeo bokkeum was pretty good as was the saenggodeungeo gui. Banchan also very good.
