Update… 5/4/24 back again and this trip The rolls were not hot enough to melt butter. Tried the buffet today good selection. Several items were not kept at temperature and were cold. Prices have really gone up! First trip since the change, and it was OK at the best. Rolls were not hot enough to melt butter. Baked potato, not as hot as they were in the past. But will give them another chance and update this review at a later date.
We frequent Yellowstone Steak & Buffet. Yes, the prices went up but went up before the name change. However, I can about have a panic attack in the grocery store when I see many of the prices and smaller sizes of items on the shelf. All restaurant managers I would think have experienced higher prices for the food that is purchased for the business.
The new owners are nice to us. And, every new owner needs time to get things situated.
I like the baked sweet potatoes and the so great tasting potato soup among so many other food choices. And, for the Senior Citizens, there is a senior-citizen discount M-F 2-4PM and on Sundays. Go Senior Citizens!!
*UPDATE - The salad bar sections have been changed. It is easier to load up the food on a plate.
We really enjoyed our visit with all of you. Wonderful food, service and so friendly. I highly recommend this place. Family owned business .
Overpriced and unsatisfactory. Carrots and lettuce on the salad bar sat out so long that they were limp and brown. Potatoes taste like they were from the day before and were cold and hard. Rolls and steaks were cold. Bar food is tasteless and greasy and sat out too long as well. Breaded okra was soggy. Soups are greasy and terrible. Waitress however was wonderful. Not worth the price. Will not be back.

Bar food was a little dried out. Most was good. Steak cooked more than requested but still eatable.
The food is always fresh. I love the new menu items they added. My husband had the sunny bison, and I had the Venison Burger. They were cooked perfect. The salad bar is always so fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff are so friendly.
I've heard stories from past employees, which were recently confirmed as true by a recent worker there, THAT BEING THAT SLUGS are inside the kitchen, and even were found around the line at the salad bar . Not to mention that previous employees have talked about horrible and the mentally abusive work environment, Teenagers are constantly being treated as if they were adults, and didn't have other responsibilities.
regular workers are unable to speak out about how management can be rough on them for simple mistake, because a lot of the managers are close to the owner by family.
I hate to even say a bad review and I’m not really saying it’s a bad place. But a few things I would have thought would happen didn’t happen.
Changing the name and ownership is fine but from what everyone was saying it was a new place was not true my issues are.
Rolls not good
No updates to the place other than the sign.
Old carpet and not even put a fresh coat of paint on the place.
The plates we got were dirty & chipped.
The prices are way too high for kids under ten.
If you want to rebrand a place then you need to remodel the place. We were not happy with the way the place looked or the way the food tasted. Even if we had said something is wouldn’t have changed anything or how we feel.
