Best WLM Reviews
Authentic Cajun curries and stews with a low-key, artsy, and charming vibe, taking me straight back to the good old days in the New Orleans French Quarter! ???????? The bread ???? is amazing and is the highlight of their menu, all smothered with an orange buttery sauce. For entrees, I especially recommend the drunken chicken, the chicken maque choux and the spinach and mushroom etouffee.
This specific Yats location is particularly fancy schmancy! Unlike the other Yats locations that use disposable plates, Yats Traders Point uses ceramic plates. ???????????????????? And this Yats has an actual bar, with taps for beer.
The people there are awesome! Cool, friendly, and always happy to chat. The restaurant is so hip and artsy, you feel like you're in New Orleans again!
5/5, would recommend!
Outstanding little cajun food restaurant that is easy to find using Google Maps. It is on the NW side of Indianapolis, Indiana. This is some of the best cajun I have had outside of Louisiana. The restaurant is in a small shopping area. It is well kept and clean and the service was excellent. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and is free. This place gets better with every visit.
So so so good! I come here every time I'm in Indiana and it never disappoints. The service is fast and the food is delicious.
Very nice, very laid back restaurant. I agree with a previous reviewer, more of a Cajun-fusion instead of traditional Cajun, but great flavor profiles. The chili cheese etoufee was tasty, but the red beans and sausage was better. The real star, though, was the drunken chicken... Well, that and the $1 PBR! Wish I had this restaurant near where I live, and thank you to Yats for the food and service!
Limited or no gluten free options that I could see. Outside of that the food was very tasty. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Overall a good vibe and a great spot for Cajun cuisine.
This is my Favorite Lunch Destination!!! The food is wonderful and the staff is always friendly and nice. Try the "Half and Half." That way you can get 2 different entrees. I always pay 75¢ for extra bread. The total comes to $11.50 for a good amount of food. I come here to eat at least once a week.... probably 6-7 times a month!!
My favorites are:
Chili Cheese Etouffee with Crawfish
Drunken Chicken
Chicken Maque Choux
White Chicken Chili
There is no other YATS that I visit. The ambience is so open and friendly. Lucas keeps this place very clean (bathrooms) and outside in the dining area. Not to mention all the cool they pipe in. With the food and vibe of this place, this place has my full respect and appreciation for a great dining experience
I love good food. Got the gumbo and the spinach dish but the hands down winner is the drunken chicken. Made for a quick luncheon for 10. In and out in 10 minutes. The garlic bread is excellent. Just get yourself a good bottle of wine and a green vegetable. Lie and tell your friends and family you did that.
