Best WLM Reviews

A friend took me for dinner. She knew I had never eaten there and I let her order for me. It was really good. And I feel obligated to mention that the bread is “ta die for “! It really is good bread. I had the red beans with smoked sausage and white chili. They were served on a bed of rice. She twisted my arm and we split peanut butter pie. Damn! Twas good!
The food was just ok. It will NOT hit the spot if you’re looking for authentic Cajun food. The flavors weren’t great and the texture was kind of mushy. The bread was amazing though. The service was nonexistent but the decor is cool.
Its super cute inside!! Food is pretty good, not MANY options. Workers have always been mice and food is quick to come out. Give you good portions for the price. The music is great if you like alternative music!
The US31 store is gross they literally served uncooked chicken. I know how the food is meant to be. If you cannot run a store properly don’t and if you cannot cook food properly then don’t. I usually get the vegan option but it had been removed and I imagine that would have been gross as well based on all the reviews I am seeing here. I don’t know who is running this one but they are doing a terrible job.
5 stars all the way around. Came in with a friend with a wheat allergy. Both the counter worker and the man in the kitchen were super careful to communicate with each other and us. They switched gloves, kept her plate away from contaminants and made her feel extra casual and not at all a problem. Plus, the food was amazing as always.
They had 4 GF options, 2 vegetarian options, and several tasty options for regular diets. Seriously. Go to yats.
I live out of town and was excited to eat here because I havent been for probably 5years. I ordered the 2 dishes for $10 meal. Food was great except the bread, it was drenched in oil. Also the serving size has definitely been cut back. I use to get my food on a bigger dish and it was piled high. I could never finish it and had left overs to take home. Over all, the flavors of everything was great.
Friendly, fast service, unique atmosphere and flavors and generous portions. I had the red beans & rice. They were tasty and well prepared, but living so close to Cajun country for years has spoiled me, so I can't say it's the best I've tasted (I actually prefer my own recipe using a lot of "Slap Ya Mama" seasoning). I haven't seen any other Cajun restaurants nearby, so if you have a craving for Cajun this is a good option. This is mostly a take-out restaurant (many people came in for take-out while we were dining in); only three other people dined in while we were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. My husband had the chili cheese Étouffée and he thought the taste was interesting, but he didn't think it tasted like Cajun. Flavors are definitely different from the Louisiana flavors we are familiar with. This is a very popular restaurant in Indy.
What a major disappointment. We hadn't been to a YATS since prior to the pandemic, and the food, atmosphere and service did not meet our expectations. The person at the cash register seemed rather disinterested in giving his feedback on a favorite meal of his. He sounded monotoned, and very unenthusiastic. The Chili Cheese Etouffee with Crawfish meal was very bland, and had little to no salt or any seasoning at all. The Drunken Chicken tasted very peppery, and that's it. The White Chicken was very bland as well. The cushions by a few tables were very worn down and had holes in them, and the walls had holes in them too. It's as if management doesn't care to maintain a good appearance of their restaurant. Truthfully we expected more from YAT'S, and sad to say that we would not recommend this YAT'S location for dining or takeout.
