1st time here, wonderful experience, food served rather quickly and well done, quiet environment even with all the dining area half full. Price was good for all that we got, had appetizers, meals, desserts, and drinks for 3 for about $75 total, took a full box of left overs home. Volcano Roll was my favorite without hot sauce, Boston roll was good just not as filling. Felt like a very healthy alternative. It all tasted good, everyone loved their food, prompt service, great attentive waitress who was helpful when ordering, I noticed even the cooks were smiling and enjoying their work. Wasn’t able to lock the bathroom door, maybe that’s just me. Definitely want to come back.
The food is very delicious here. Just 2 of us though and our bill was $80, for lunch. So we prob won't be coming back. ???? especially when you have all you can eat sushi places for $25.

I have enjoyed wonderful food from Yamato over the last few months but my most recent experience wasn’t great. I ordered for here and to go. I waited patiently for about 30 minutes until the table behind me that walked in after me was served their drinks and food while I was still waiting. I was sitting close enough to the visible preparation station to hear where the mistake was made. My server came out to the table and served the food without so much as a “sorry this is late”. I’d hate to see how this restaurant would fare if completely full. 3 tables total were seated when I came in.
Lovey and I took our great-niece here to eat . Restaurant was very nice and clean. Our waitress was very friendly. We had an appetizer of sushi. I passed on that. I had filet and lobster, lovey have the steak, baby had chicken and noodles. It was incredible how tender the steak was. I think you can't be pleased if you don't like the food here. Additionally very reasonable.
I order at least 3 times a month, they know me in person and on the phone. I always get big ticket items and my bill has never been under $100 since coming here in 2019. Dont understand why you can't come up with some way to make a fair substitution. I cant eat imitation crab, and really noone should but it irks me to waste food. Id rather swap all 3-4 pieces of that for 1 piece of almost anything else. Ill leave this up in hopes they can accommodate (and better the rating if they do but lower it if they cant figure it out)
Yamatos in New Castle, right next to the liquor store next to Walmart, is excellent. Yamatos food is fresh tasting, and deliciously seasoned. I’ve had the sushi. That’s good. But the bento box lunches are perfect for a nice lunch.
And for dinner, the wife and I really like the combination dinners. Steak or filet with shrimp or scallops. And really outstanding in its own way, the fried rice that comes with the dinner. And soup and that great salad with the ubiquitous orange dressing. Wife loves that. Me too. And they have cooked the meat perfectly every time. I like medium rare, wife likes medium. Always perfectly cooked. And in one of my pics, medium rare. Perfect. The fried food on a plate i took a pic of was the rock shrimp. And the tempura batter perfect with the very mildly sweet shrimp.
This is one of those places where I have never had anything less than an excellent meal. So completely unlike Chinese food. I love Chinese, but if I want just grilled meat or shrimp and just a perfect meal that doesn’t make me feel bloated this is the place. I leave full, happy, and ready to go back again.
The clear soup and the steak were delicious. Unfortunately we sat in a booth that only had red light, we couldn't tell what we were eating or read the menu without the flashlight from out phones.
