Authentic Japanese teppanyaki!!
The food here is always good and it's like being back in Japan. The taste is clean, fresh, and full of rich flavors. A must have is the okonomiyaki! They have different types to chose from, our favorite is the Miwa's special tama. The garlic fried rice and sobameshi are just as amazing. The kimchi is made in house, if you like kimchi definitely try it here. Bring your family and friends because it's a good time! The service is timed great and the workers are friendly. There's parking in the back but we normally park on the street since it's free in the evening. Got plenty street parking too.
Great ambiance I felt like I was in Japan! My girlfriend is from Kansai and absolutely loved the okonomiyaki. We will definitely be back.
Pro tip, try the sweet potato and ice cream for dessert.
What a gem this place is! Had it last night on the islands and it beat everything we ate all week. Ordered the prime rib eye (cooked to perfection), big island abalone, octopus from Japan, on Choy with scallop, horuman rare, and fried rice. It reminded me the teppan we had in Japan. No frills no tricks just damn good food cooked to perfection. I give it 6 stars if I could. Go try it!
Got take out during the pandemic. I felt very welcomed and immediately comfortable. The chef skillfully and quickly cooked up a really comforting and delicious pork yakisoba and garlic fried rice, right before my eyes. I plan to come back to try the okonomiyaki and have the regular restaurant experience where it’s more social and you can eat it there right after it’s served. Give this place a try!
Authentic Japanese okonomiyaki place.
Good customer service. But the service between each order is a bit off.. Would definitely come back for the food thoe...
Food here was pretty good but the service we received was not great. They were busy but we felt a little ignored. Every one the cooking table seemed to get the full attention of the wait staff while we at a side table only got a pop by every now and then.
I was going to give a 3 star but felt I should give them a break. Perhaps they were short staff as the staff were running around doing what they could. Will give them another try when I’m back in Hawaii. If you go make share you get a spot at the main cooking table. Enjoy
I don't know where the commentors ate oknomiyaki before, but I'm sure it wasn't in the Kansai area.
What service. Rude attitude. I wanted to leave as soon as we sat down, but the people I was with wanted to stay.
Never again.
