Only my 4th time there and each time the staff has been kind to me & the items I've ordered were good. Jerk wing lunch, oxtails, jerk rib tip dinner and jerk tips with fries. They usually smile and greet every time.
It will change your life. Absolutely amazing! I can’t wait til I’m hungry again to go try more.
We picked up food is always great and it's plenty had leftovers for lunch the next day ????
I really enjoyed the food here. The jerk chicken was really tasty. The mac and cheese could be cheesier, but nevertheless overall it was good. I I am convinced that some of my food was microwaved. Some parts of my food were hotter than others, and the heat was not evenly distributed. I recommend anything jerk on the menu.

The red beans & rice are exquisite. Best in the business. Anytime I'm in the south suburbs, this is a definite stop food good food. Family owned establishment, wonderful customer service!
My favorite Jamaican Restaurant by far! I have been a customer for several years - the food is always delicious and steaming hot; the service is always top (they know most of their customers by name). The place is rather small so doesn't accomodate crowds well but I count that as a blessing as they have crowd appeal! Since they no longer accept credit or debit cards, it is a little more difficult to always have cash (especially when ordering for the whole family) but the sacrifice is worth it! The meat pies and peas and rice are the very best! yes, 5 stars!
Great Jamaican jerk chicken! Very friendly staff helped up decide what to get. The portion sizes were huge and prices were cheap. For 50 bucks we had drinks and dinner for 4 people and then had enough for lunch the next day. Food was out of this world! Catfish was delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to have a delicious and affordable meal to take home for the night.
Major disappointment this is not authentic jerk chicken ! I've been eating jerk chicken in Chicago and the Chicagoland area for over twenty years from Maxine's (no longer in business but was excellent) to Joe's to Tropic Island and little spots in between.
I'm not sure why the reviews are high for this establishment because there is nothing flavorful here. It's just a bunch of heat from cayenne pepper or maybe scotch bonnet peppers whatever it is they're using they need to use less of it and add more spices, more Caribbean flare.
The rice and beans taste like something from a box or package. Honestly it taste like Zaterrans. The cabbage was bland and over cooked. The only good thing about the food was the price. The price for a lunch special is decent.
There's much better jerk chicken out here. You might have drive a little ways to get to it but once you've had real jerk chicken you won't mind the drive at all. Because sometimes you must pay a little more and travel a little farther to get the real deal.
I want to rate the place a 1 but the customer service was pleasant and polite so I'll give it a 2.
