Without a debate, some of the best tacos in Denver Metro. The menu is creative, especially some of the taco garnishes are just brilliant - the cooks really know how to balance and layer flavors while staying true to the authentic nature of their Mexican food.
Additionally, some of the kindest, most hospitable restaurant owners you will ever come across who treat you like family.
Not a good first impression, one server taking orders for the whole floor. Took 15 minutes before we even got to tell her what we wanted to drink.
It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than customers she was serving.

However the food was incredible!
My husband ordered the el pastor burrito we both agreed it was great.
I ordered the campuchano tacos with a side of refried beans. Absolutely delicious would reorder those tacos again and again!
We also tried the corn flan which was so unique and amazing as well. If you put 10 of those in front of me I’d eat them all in one sitting.
So despite the not so great service the food was worth it and we would come back probably aiming for an off hour to avoid it being too busy.
Editing this review to add that this is THE BEST Mexican food in Colorado. Would give it over 5 star if I could.

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in the Golden area. Maybe even Colorado. Got the Al Pastor tacos, flan, and the El Rey del Barrio margarita. All of it was great. Walter, the server (and maybe chef/owner?) was incredible as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing I can fault. We will be regulars. Highly recommend.
Arriving at this place, we were immediately welcomed very warmly be the server who was very helpful and not only brought really delicious food but also took the time to explain it to us and also how to eat it.
We had very good quesadillas and burritos.
When the sun is out, you can sit outside with a view on the mountains.
Tidy bistro atmosphere inside.
Definitely come here when in the area!
And consider a detour if not in the area ;)
The Chicharron (pork belly) tacos were amazing! My husband also got the steak quesadillas and we definitely want to come back!
Service was excellent, quaint small restaurant. My tacos were average, but I enjoyed them.
This is the hands down the best food I’ve had in Colorado.
Looked up Mexican in Golden and this place had good reviews, sooo…. 100 right on. I believe it was the best chicken burrito I’d ever had. Horchata was delicious and the wheel chips instead of generic chips were bonus! Everything was seasoned perfectly and the people working were super nice. Yum!
