Best WLM Reviews

They are opening more stores here (new one in tangram) because they are so good. I usually get the handripped stewed pork (not spicy) and its always great. I recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC, you have to try it at least once. The stewed pork/lamb burgers are also top notch.
Have enjoyed xi’an famous foods many times. First time to this location and it was consistent with the others. The lamb cumin noodle dish is so damn good. I love it. Soups great, dumplings great. Will always love that noodle dish.
A few tables available to eat inside.
Haven’t been here since it renovated but it’s still so good. We ordered the spicy beef noodles on soup, I got it extra spicy. There were plenty of beef, the noodles were handmade, thick, and super long. They were so filling and it was hard to finish the noodles near the end. It wasn’t as spicy for me since I have high tolerance. Next time I will need to get the cumin burger!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by the extremely potent and savory noodles and lamb bun I ordered. Service was friendly and quick, and although there was not much for seating options, it is definitely a go-to for a quick snack if you are in the area. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone craving any sort of authentic spice.
Got the spicy beef noodles and the cumin lamb. Both were delicious! So much flavor in both, but especially the lamb. The noodles are so tasty and fresh, also very filling. Delicious bottled tea too. I got the chrysanthenum, which is just slightly sweet, and very refreshing. I also tried the hawberry tea. Its tartness is a nice contrast with the flavor of the noodles.
This place is awesome. The slap noodles are top notch. The spicey chart is underrated whatever you think you can handle step back a notch.
Amazing flavors that's tangy, spicy and numbing! These are dishes you don't get from the normal Chinese restaurants that's usually Cantonese.
The default spice level is quite spicy, though still bearable. Good news is you can choose low spice or extra hot, to accommodate your level of spiciness!
Been watching clips on YouTube on this chain during the pandemic and really a must visit when visiting NYC.
Ordered the signature spicy cumin lamb hand-ripped noodles (dry). As the owner suggested (from the poster on the wall and not from him directly of course..haha), their dish needs to be eaten with it's signature chili, but one can ask for a milder spicy but can't do with no chili at all to get their intended dining experience.
As someone who likes chili and can take spicy but not too spicy, I went with the standard spicy and wow, the owner was right. It was really good. At first bite, I was like..hmm...this isn't so spicy, but as soon as you take more and more bite, the spicy does come out slowly but in a good way. I like that the chili provide the right amount of tang, spiciness and flavor. The noodles, lamb and vegetables also soak up the chili nice and evenly which was really impressive from my opinion. When it comes to mixing ingredients with chili/oil and sometimes it can get overly-soaked with the oil causing numbness which one would not be able to taste the entire dish properly. Some chili oil are also way too numbing spicy but the chili oil use at Xi'an Famous Food is really just perfect.
The hand-ripped noodles were also amazing, chewy and fresh. Really enjoyed this dish and hope to be back. Highly recommended and you can find them at different locations in NYC. For a chain, this is really very well done.
