Enjoyed a cousin’s lunchtime get together. Food was delicious and plentiful. Lots of seating for large groups. Can be seated around bar or in back room if you prefer tables. Parking available with a couple of handicap spots. Restaurant easy to get to from I-70. I had a huge baked potato and a large side salad. All of us were happy with our meals, service, and price. We’ll certainly visit again.
Went here on the advice of a friend. Usually these older places that are off the beaten path, have some pretty great food, but this place was pretty hit or miss. The misses: The fried oysters were super greasy, and other than fried breading, had no flavor. The crab dip also suffered from lack of seasoning, and wasn't hot. The steak and cheese also left a lot to be desired, but that's on me for ordering a Philly sandwich icon, in Woodbine, Maryland LOL! The hits: The Wings were AWESOME! Big, juicy, and fried to perfection, liberally seasoned with Old Bay. Note that these are battered wings, which I don't typically like, but these were done right. The potato salad was also great, my buddy ate two servings. The fries were good, and the fried chicken is legit. Atmosphere wise, it's just an old local bar/restaurant, with lots of regulars. We sat at the bar, and while the bartender may not have smiled once, he gave excellent service. Would go back for the wings and fried chicken.
So, it is definitely a great restaurant and the food was very good. I was with a group of soccer kids between games of a tournament. We called ahead, and it was 1:00 on a Saturday. They definitely weren't ready for our group. One server was working. I (and many others) tipped her very well.
All told, I would go back. The food was good and the portions were generous, but the prices were reasonable. Maybe next time I won't come with a soccer team!
First time here. Excellent broiled lump meat crab cakes. 6 ounces of deliciousness. Will stop again when in the area. Service was fast and efficient. Atmosphere was nice. Bathrooms clean. No WiFi.
I had a wonderful time in the off-the-beaten-path restaurant and bar. This was a true down home experience. The is zero pretense here. I highly recommend that you seek this place out and enjoy a solid meal. I recommend the seafood dishes and nacho salad.
Stopped for lunch and had a cup of cream of crab soup and a soft shell crab sandwich. Soup was great and the crab was fairly meaty but there was a slightly odd flavor as if the oil needed changed in the fryer.
The grilled chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had! The waitress was awesome! I will definitely come back.
The crab soup was absolutely amazing! My coconut shrimp was pretty good. My husband's crabcakes were very delicious. The sides were just OK.
