The service was impeccable, and the food tasted unbelievable. They asked how I wanted my salmon cooked, and I replied perfect. To my surprise, it was more than perfect. My first bite into the salmon made all my worries disappear. It was tender and very juicy, and every bite was better than the last. The wait time for the food was abnormally long, but it was my first time, so I'll let it slide. I'm looking forward to my second visit.
I recently visited Wood Stack & Pizza for the first time with a group of friends, and I must say, we were all impressed. The thin crust pizza was a definite standout, with most of us ordering it and loving every bite. The service was also top-notch, adding to the overall positive experience. We had a great time at Wood Stack & Pizza and would definitely recommend it to others looking for delicious pizza in a cozy atmosphere.
I just hosted a bridal shower in a private room at Wood Stack in Pinebrook and it could not have gone any better. Zeno, their event planner, was amazing and helped me curate a fantastic menu. She was super accomodating to our preferences and assisted when we had last minute changes in attendance. She even helped advise what extra tables people generally use for a shower (one for gifts, desserts, shower games, area for backdrop, etc.)
The day of, they let us in early to set up, and were super attentive in making sure we had everything we needed. Zeno checked in, Carlo (a manager I believe) was coming in frequently to check on us, and our wait staff, Emily and Zandria, were extremely sweet. They made sure drinks were always full, that used plates and utensils were immediately removed, and we were boxing up leftovers from our family-style package. Zandria gave special attention to the bride always making sure she had a fresh mimosa when hers was running low, and Emily was great in making me (the maid of honor) calm down and stop nervously pacing in anticipation before everyone arrived by assuring me everything was perfect and beautiful and it will be great. The whole staff also helped us time everything like speeches and games between when the next course would be out, for example: making sure everyone had coffee before we played the last game then opened up the dessert table.
I can't say enough good things about the Wood Stack planning process, food, facility, and staff!
The pizza here is amazing! It’s always super fresh and flavorful. They have so many tasty options and the fact they even carry gluten free crust AND dairy-free cheese is a great bonus, they’re so attentive with allergies! The drinks are also delicious :)
One of my favorite pizza restaurants.
Ambience is cool modern clean.
Family friendly and a full bar.
Often crowded so recommend reservations for large parties.
***Barrel aged old fashioned is excellent*** but longer on the menu! Now they have the Gran Manhattan - bulleit rye, gran gala, sweet vermouth, walnut bitters, brandied cherry - which is equally delicious.
Grilled octopus appetizer is excellent.
Tried many of the pizzas which are great. Their bread is fantastic.
Kale salad, pappardelle bolognese are my go-to's.
Service very friendly.
UPDATE
Today for the 1st time we ordered off the brunch menu and it was great. I had the breakfast skillet - Breakfast Skillet two sunny side farm eggs, prosciutto di parma, mixed mushrooms, spinach, rosemary potatoes, country bread.
Came here for dinner last night and was overall happy with the experience. We sat outdoors at the patio near the bar and the ambience was very pleasing. We ordered a couple of drinks and two pizzas (Pepa Pig and Prosciutto) both of which came out great. The pizza bread was as soft and fresh and pizza overall was flavorful. The complimentary sourdough bread and butter in the beginning was also great. Overall a great experience and will come back again.
The country bread here is unreal, and literally love all of their apps!
Amazing pizza and pasta, the bolognese is the best. The only thing you have to do is be sure to get your protein well done a few times I’ve had my chicken a little pink. I usually get the Tuscan kill salad, which is so good, chicken well done! But I recently started it with salmon, which is also equally as delicious.
For dessert the pizza is very lovely, the flourless chocolate cake, but the milk and cookies really have my heart!
Came here for dinner, the drinks were amazing! The food was okay, very small portions, too salty and expensive! They cheaped out on the quantity. The bread was good and the wood fired olives were the best! But they were not pitted and it was inconvenient eating the olives.
