Went in before work to grab a dozen donuts for the people I work with. It was around five thirty in the morning. I was surprised to see how many people were already in there. Everybody was laughing and enjoying one another's company. Great atmosphere. Had a fantastic conversation with the girl who helped me with my order. We don't get donuts all that often, but I can assure you I will get them from here from now on.
Delicious donuts and great service. I’ve stopped in after work many times to grab donuts to bring home for my kids. Not one time have I been greeted with anything other than a friendly smile and a pleasant experience. I’ll be stopping in again this morning.
We got donuts and biscuits and gravy, I also got sausage links. The sausage links were super yummy, the biscuits and gravy were just OK, we probably would not get them again and the donuts are super yummy. The 2 stars is because didn't even have high chairs.... its clear they are more interested in foot traffic and people who would play slots than families. Mr donut in Alton has high chairs and booster seats, we will have to go there in the future if we have our daughter with us.
I stopped by Wood River Donuts and More this weekend and managed to get a bunch of great donuts! They have some real unique and delicious Long John's and some nice and fat really soft and chewy apple fritters! I absolutely love their selection and hope to stop in again to try their Old Fashions!

This place is the best donut experience I have ever had. The one chocolate frosted donut, was perfectly GLAZED. The staff was soooooo nice. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND.
When we were walking up to the shop a brunette woman with a veteran hat on was smoking, looked at us twice and shook her head while she was conversing with 2 other patrons. She seemed awfully mad she had to put her ciggarette out early and while my husband held the door open for myself and the worker, she said nothing. We turned around and walked out. We don't support businesses thet treat customers poorly for NO reason. I'm sorry you didn't get to finish your smoke break, but that behavior is uncalled for. I work in customer service and I don't care what kind of day your having or how busy you are, you treat your customers with kindness and respect, especially as they are entering your business. Won't be coming back here.
Great donuts. I used to go here all the time when I was in high school. Moved away, so I've not been here in a while. It's definitely an old timer/local location. When you walk in and they don't know you, it's definitely an irregular feeling. Donuts are great, though, and that's the most important thing
This is my personally favorite Donut Shop in America!
By far is the homeiest donut shop I've ever been too, I've been coming here since a young girl with my grandmother and grandfather, hasn't changed much, except the gambling machines. Which changes the atmosphere inevitably! However the customer service is wonderful, the ladies there are sweet as sugar, not to mention they know most regulars by their first name.
