I absolutely love this place. Anytime i go the food is always so fresh and on point. I love everything. The shrimp and grits are so fire. The fried catfish is amazing and those biscuits are the best. Nicole was our waitress and she was the sweetest. Very friendly and she made sure to make us feel important even though she had several other tables. I love it and I’ll definitely be back.
Great place to have breakfast love the art decor throughout the whole restaurant very cute and funky. I will say the Cajun flavors were really good felt I was in Nola! Southern comfort food.
I had the corn cakes with scrambled eggs and a side of crispy french toast. The corn cakes were soft and moist like good buttermilk pancakes and had sweet corn and peppers in the batter. The savory sauce on the side was a great complement. The crispy french toast was absolute perfection. Soft and almost gooey in the center but the frosted flake coating gave it an incredible crunch. What an incredible mouth feel! In the future I'll go out of my way to get this again. My server was friendly and checked back regularly to see if I needed a coffee refill or anything else.
My first time at this place and I didn’t know what to expect, I just wanted brunch and it blew my expectations.
I had the chorizo omelette with rice and beans and it was fantastic, the corn bread was a nice addition.
We also had the French toast with the corn flakes and it was really unique and delicious!

This place became a staple of mine and my husband's way back in the early aughts. I've loved it since I let the first taste of Yankee Cole Slaw pass my lips. I loved it so much I even had Martha Stewart call in to attempt to get the recipe. She couldn't snag the goods at the time btw. Ha! It's that good to a person who doesn't love creamy cole slaw.
The food is always fantastic, the portion sizes are perfect for me and my absolute favorite dish to get would be the shrimp and grits with bacon and extra shrimp.
I've tried the catfish (fried and blackened - loved it) rainbow trout (loved it) and a host of other dishes too long to list.
This is a favorite spot to bring friends when they come into town to visit, and while I miss them being on Washington Blvd, their new-ish Jefferson location is also a great location.
The biggest issue that I've had with the restaurant is going during a high traffic time. That's the only con that I have at this point.
Absolutely divine. I ordered through CHOW via the website. Amazing over the phone service (I admit i was being a little impatient, but once you try you will understand), awesome delivery, and the food… oh my goodness the food tastes like it was made by angels. Great packaging and the food arrived at a nicer temperature than when i order via ubereats. I am oh so happy. Thank you Wishbone for coming through clutch 100% every time. I ordered the catfish dinner & salmon cakes. Although the photo looks good, it does the food no justice. Must try the catfish! Please continue what you all do. Thank you for your patience as well.
Lawnya was our waitress and absolutely wonderful. Her customer was amazing! She was super sweet and very friendly! The food was also delicious! The Cajun shrimp and grits had the best flavor! The Bloody Mary was delicious and for 2 bucks you get the little beer side which was so cute! ???? we walked here from our place so I don’t know about parking but looks like street parking may be a little hard and what is there is metered parking. Definitely want to come back and try the other dishes on the menu!
This was a great group restaurant for brunch. The mimosa bucket was available in many flavors. The food was wonderful! Service was fast. An overall excellent experience! Please note you will not be seated until all guests arrive, but you will be able to sit at a high top or bar to wait for the rest of your party.
