The place wasn't sanitary. I ordered jerk chicken and I kid you not the chicken was like 3 days old I was charged $15 for undercooked rice, old chicken that was hard and made me sick. I don't like bashing anyone restaurant but I don't want people wasting their money.
I'd be ashamed to sell people food that nasty and honestly it's as if they didn't care to sell food that old which is why I'm coming at them. Never again will I spend a dime here. You want a good spot Washington avenue has better cleaner fresher food
They messed up majority of our order! SMFH!
Gave us the wrong drinks, there was a long hair in our food, my chicken wasn’t even cooked, how do you F up curry chicken!? ????????♀️ Only thing that was good was the rice. Cabbage was good until we found the hair! The drinks they gave us were disgusting! I’m never ordering from them again.
I go for Stewed pork. It's a bit pricey and lately without butter beans, but the best and only source available anywhere near New Haven.
Order some oxtails, first off, I was raise in a Caribbean household and those oxtails didn’t have no favor to them. And I brought a 16 dollar plate with 6 pieces of oxtails and a lot of rice and peas, with little bit of veggies. I was highly disappointed. Eating the oxtails made me really upset because of no favor or oxtail juices just basically dry. And on top of that I brought a beef patty with coco bread. I am convinced they just slap some regular bread with it and just call it a day. It was a waste of my money. I was truly not happy with the results.
Served me raw chicken!!! And had the nerve to complain because my $20 bill had a tear in it! A joke!!!
Food was ok, just messy when I received it. Better packaging would be nice. Grease ran through bags .very lazy when packing food. Lids weren't even sealed all the way.. come on black owned buisness. We gotta do better
The woman that works in this restaurant is evil, she works roots, she is the devil. She serving undercooked nasty food. Everything about this place is disgusting I even saw roaches on the counter. Do not go anywhere near this dump trust you will regret it! Read all the other reviews.
Ordered oxtail through grub hub and received jerk chicken instead. There was no notification of the change in order, which was rather disappointing considering that I paid $4 more for the oxtail (than I would have if I had originally ordered jerk chicken).
The rice and peas was far from authentic.
I’m not one to write negative reviews but it was clear from the moment that I opened the container that the restaurant did not care about customer satisfaction.
