We go past this place often and finally stopped in. First impressions were, the place is extremely dated and in need of repairs. The restrooms were extremely dirty. The only bright spot was the waitress was very good and attentive to our needs. The food was just so so. If you are looking for a family oriented place with just average food, try it. If, however, your looking for an upscale place with great food, go elseshere
YAAAAAS!! If you're looking for some home-cooked comfort on the road, this is where it's at!! Amber was our outstanding waitress. She was warm and friendly and beloved by her "regulars". The food here is the coziest of country down-home comfort foods as you can get! From the french toast, sandwiches, pulled pork fries, the soup, and homemade pies, every bite was better than the next. The soup was literally good to the last drop. The iced tea was feshly made. The steak sandwich surpasses that of our favorite high-end steak house! We didn't have room for the ice cream, so we will venture back again to try the ice cream window and home baked treats. A clean and eclectic vibe, this environment sets the mood to practically run to their gift shop. It is an added bonus that makes this whole experience as warm and fuzzy for your heart as it is for your belly. Come hungry, you will leave full!!
Went there today for the first time with a friend. Good breakfast and value. For a nice surprise, order the eggs benedict topped with cream chipped beef instead of hollandaise. If you like creamed chipped beef you won't be disappointed.
I love this amazing diner! This diner has amazing staff! Our waitress Beth was kind, funny, supportive, and kept us enjoying the time and brighting our day! Every time we visit Pennsylvania we have to come here! I got a grilled cheese sandwich with white cheese and tomatoes! I also got the chicken corn soup! All the food was very enjoyable and warm! The dining also sets the mood! It is very calm and relaxing! The prices are fair and its worth the time and visit! I recommend going to this destination! :)
Food is decent, people are friendly and place hasn't changed in years. I mean, I haven't been there for over 10 years, came back and was almost identical. Think it is due for some upgrading. But some people like that, like all the locals that go there on a schedule.
Absolutely a bonafide let down! I’d give it negative stars if it were available. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE. McDonald’s is a better, more gourmet option in comparison.
I ordered a 21oz Delmonico medium well, I receive a blood bath in my styrofoam container. The mashed potatoes and stuffing were served with an ice cream scoop! Completely dissatisfied. It ruined our family dinner. We ordered four different meals waited over 30mins at the front door for our online order past our scheduled pick up time. Not one meal was satisfying. The “buttered” corn was dry - no butter present. Money well spent, indeed! ???? Proceed at your caution ⛔️
Service was great. Our server, hostess, and everyone else was attentive and very kind. Food was pretty good- burgers are juicy, soup was tasty, family liked the slaw, breakfast solid too. Fries were thick and not very crispy. Gravy, both chicken and brown, was not good and tasted of premixed powder gravy so beware of that. Pies were not homemade, weren't great.. Cute small town atmosphere, I would bring the family, just don't expect gourmet cooking obviously. Photos attached are the remnants of the pork cutlet meal, the pecan and coconut cream pie.
Ordered the grilled Italian chicken. Not much flavor. My husband got the meatloaf with gravy and the gravy was meh. But it's in Amish country where everything is plain and simple and with German background the food is generally bland. People were nice, but be aware before you go. Prices were expensive but what isn't these days.
