This is a vital part of the Tennessee Valley electric grid, as well as an effective flood control tool. All maintained by TVA. Very nice dam and recreational areas.
Great drive love the dam experience. It's an awesome drive since singing river bridge has taken the vast traffic diversion. Please do not consider closing this drive is nice!!!!
