Best WLM Reviews

We decided to come try something new here in Baton Rouge, and I'm really glad we did.
PROS: The food was perfect! A fantastic blend of seafood meets breakfast! Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere was upbeat, organized, and clean even though we personally ate outside in this beautiful weather! The price was a bit high, but for us personally, the quality, portions, and flavor reflected the price so I can overlook that.
CONS: Really, no cons, just a couple of things. The parking lot was full, but I can see why. It's a popular place so I can overlook this. Secondly, the waitress could have been quicker with the service, but again, I could overlook this due to the number of people there, and she made it clear she did not wish to rush us.
OVERALL: Highly recommend this place! If you're willing to spend the extra money for quality food and drinks, and if you are also OK with a lot of people, then I say go for it! We will be returning again soon!
We stopped here on the way back to Texas. Boy do we like this place. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. Too many places overcook their shrimp but Willie’s got it perfectly right. It was seasoned to my liking , spicy and hot, and had a side dipping sauce that really went well with the shrimp. It gave it an extra kick of heat. We also ordered crawfish which my husband took down like the true southerner from LA that he is. The crawfish were larger than normal but very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was really laid back and comfortable. They have quite a few very interesting items on the menu. We sat somewhat outside. The service was acceptable and very friendly. We will definitely be back for another meal the next time we are in town. They have a good selection of drinks and wine. This is a repeat dining spot. A Gem!
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the smells of fresh seafood with some hefty seasoning, and that's exactly what was delivered to my table.
Venue: Compartmentalized seating, so there's several nooks & cranies. There's a nice size bar in the back. The restrooms were clean.
Service: Average service- we had to ask for several things that should have been obvious, like a cocktail straw with a cocktail, the other entree that was ordered. The waitress was polite, though.
Food: Thankfully, the food was the star of the show. I had the redfish crabmeat au gratin. Now, I'm not even a big fish eater, and this was delectable. The fish had a clean, mild, firm texture. The Mac n cheese was creamy, which is a must for me. Lastly, I must give a mention to the Sensation salad dressing. I wanted to stick some in my purse.
My companions had the shrimp tacos, boiled shrimp, and the loaded baked potatoes. The loaded baked potato is an understatement. It's really a deconstructed loaded potato with everything but the kitchen sink. It was easily 2 meals. Those boiled shrimp rank among some of the best I've ever had.
Cocktails: I had the Crazy Couyon which is the restaurant's version of a gimlet, and it was pretty good.
Verdict: I can't wait to go back!
Just finished dinner at Willie's with the family. Great selection of local beers and very relaxed, non crowded vibe. Hailey was our server and she was awesome, very attentive and good communication. We ordered the crab queso and it was SO good. My husband and I both got the RYN, it came with a salad and broccoli and neither of us could finish but it was all very good! They had a good kids menu and had the basketball game on :) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!
My wife and I went to this place for the first time and never doubt about its service! We made a reservation through google maps that made us get a table asap and order food in time. We had the cajun pasta, 3lbs crawfish and the homemade onion rings which were so yum, warm and fresh. Servers were so friendly and they did take care of us well.. my wife accidentally spilled water but they cleaned it up gently(appreciate that again)
You can also see some goods to simply take a look in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this place to everyone!
I just wasn’t that impressed with this place. The food was ok. I absolutely do not recommend the chicken and waffles. I got the chicken tenders and they had absolutely no seasoning and the waitress said to me “that’s why I recommended the Cajun seasoning.” Not the fried green tomatoes with the seafood sauce were delicious. Some other people liked the crawfish but stuff they were hard to peel. I would go back to try the crawfish not sure about the food.
I was met with a friendly smile and knowledge of the place. The appetizer was remarkable and the food was delicious. I was pleased with ecerything they had to offer. The prices were worth the food. I strongly recommend this place for dine in.
First time at Willie's. We wenr there for Brunch on a Saturday. The Bloody Mary's were awesome, especially for the price! We ordered the Shrimp and Grits, which was our favorite of the 3 dishes, soooo good. The grits were extremely creamy and delicious. The shrimp were very seasoned, but not too spicy. The spicy chicken biscuit was fantastic. And lastly, we had the pork tacos. I loved the sausage on the tacos! Everything was perfectly flavored. No wait, great friendly service. We will definitely be going again soon!
