Can’t say the food was not tasty, but it wasn’t amazing either. The portions from a set menu were small. I regret not ordering a veggie burger. I appreciate them giving us bread! The room was pretty, but very cold, and the staff was kind to close one of the doors to make it warmer. Service needs improvement. First of all, it was slow. We were a group of 8, the young waitress helping us told us it was her 1st day when we asked questions about the food. The restaurant was almost empty, I find it strange someone with no experience was arranged to serve a big group. In any case, I did not feel a 5 star hotel experience. 3.5 out of 5.
Food was delectable, although courses from previous seasons looked better. We weren’t fans of the leek dish. It’s something we use more as garnish than eating whole, but it must be in season here. Would have loved to try the tofu with broccolini that was advertised in the elevator. The service was exceptional and my family really enjoyed their meal despite not being vegan. My favorite was the amuse bouche.
Really special experience. Partner and I had never had a vegan fine dining experience and we were both blown away by the delicate flavors of every dish. The wine pairing was also lovely. The restaurant setting is also beautiful and palatial. Definitely check it out when you’re in Antwerp!
We stayed at Plantn today on our vegan trip through Europe. It was awesome. We enjoyed every second of our stay. Let's start with the wait staff: they were friendly, courteous and extremely attentive.
Beforehand we got fresh rolls with olive oil. plus Belgian beer from Antwerp and the surrounding area. The recommendations of the staff helped us a lot!
As a main course we had vegan fries with sauces, a vegan corrot burger, another vegan burger with vegetables and vegan pancakes with shitaake mushrooms as a bacon substitute.
Wow, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed every bite so much. The ambiance was nice too. The chairs were comfortable, the atmosphere great and the music was 80s :).
After the restaurant visit, next time we will not only eat here, but also spend the night in the adjoining hotel. Please keep it up. You are great and outstanding in Europe!
Vegetarian restaurant in a swanky hotel setting. Reception was underwhelming as there was nobody to welcome us initially despite our reservation. Some cocktails were not available because of supply issues. We ordered some welcome bites. Cauliflower croquettes and pumpkin mushroom tempura were nice. The mushroom burger was quite good. Nice selection of wines. Reasonable prices.
WildN is a new restaurant in Antwerpen that opened in October 2022 and is run by a two-star chef. If you decide to go here, be sure you're in for an incredible evening. Do reserve well in advance, as this place is about to get busy. I would bet a fortune that this place will receive a Michelin star within this year. The food is just amazing. We had 5 courses, but add to that an amuse gueule, a dessert, and another small welcoming addition from the kitchen, we ended up having 8 courses in total. Amazing home-made bread with spreads is served to make sure you don't go home hungry in spite of small dishes. Service was very attentive, yet maintained the necessary distance to make sure you are not disturbed while enjoying your dinner. It was simply a perfect evening. 10/10
This was a top level experience. A proof that vegan food can be haute cuisine. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are vegan or want to try the vegan kitchen. You will be surprised by the different delicious tastes this restaurant makes!
Our dining experience at Wildn was fantastic!
The menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering an incredible selection of delicious 100% plant-based dishes. Besides the food, they also offer a great selection of (surprising) local wines.
Since the weather was nice, we were able to sit outside on the beautiful courtyard; a serene calm place, right in the middle of the busy city of Antwerp.
The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional but still personable making it a delightful experience. A must-visit destination for any food (and Antwerp) lover! :)
