Best WLM Reviews

This was our first breakfast stop in Indianapolis for a weekend trip. The place was very clean, spacious and had a great variety on the menu. While the food did take a while to come out, it tasted amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious. The French toast and cinnamon roll was specifically the best thing we tried. We loved the place, the staff were extremely nice and took care of all of our needs. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Indianapolis.
UNDENIABLY DELICIOUS! honestly if you don't like the food I can't trust your taste buds. Also they were voted the best for a reason. I ordered the Farmers Market Skillet and the Cinnamon Roll and both were so simple but well executed. Literally like a homemade plate.
The skillet has a variety of vegetables like zucchini, brick, potatoes, peppers and others that were cooked perfectly to where they still had a little bite to them and not complete mush. You chose your bread... the biscuits are slightly crispy on the outside but soft, fluffy, and not overly buttery in the inside. Literally perfect.
The cinnamon roll was baked in a skillet And like the biscuit it was crispy on the corners but soft, doughy and sweet in the middle. Came in a personal caste iron.
I wanted to order so much more but the portions were perfect to where you get full and don't need more. The prices are also superb. Great value! Cannot speak highly enough to my experience. Diverse servers work here as well. And their menus are made with Microban a technology that reduces the risk of germ spread. Love to see it post COVID.
The restaurant was bright and clean. We sat at the bar and the other customers there were very friendly. Our waiter was also very friendly and he checked on us consistently throughout our visit.
The drinks seem to be made inconsistently. My blueberry margarita was very light in color and really lacked flavor. My drink was almost clear, but in the picture on the menu, the drink was a deep reddish/purple color. I don’t think they added enough of the blueberry compote to mine. Two people sitting next to me at the bar had also ordered blueberry margaritas, but their drinks had a lot more color and looked exactly like the picture on the menu. I think my margarita could have been really good if it had been made correctly. I would rate my margarita 2.5 stars out of 5. The iced vanilla latte (spirited) was much better, especially when the cream started to melt into the drink and added a little extra sweetness. I would give the latte 4.5 stars.
I ordered the classic French toast. If you like sourdough bread, you’ll probably enjoy it. I really didn’t enjoy the sour/tangy taste, and ended up wishing I had ordered something else. I prefer sweeter French toast. It was cooked perfectly, but I was hoping the French toast batter would be sweet enough to balance the tanginess out. But it still had a very sour after taste with each bite, that I just didn’t enjoy. I just think a different kind of bread would be better suited for French toast. I would give the French toast 2.5 stars. The scrambled eggs and bacon were both really good, 5 stars. My boyfriend got the bourbon chicken sandwich and he enjoyed it.
There was no soap in the men’s or women’s bathrooms and it was only 11 am. Not sure how customers or employees are supposed to wash their hands with no soap.
Overall, I’m glad we tried this place. If we ever come back to Indianapolis, it’s possible we would go back and try other menu items. But there are so many other breakfast options in the area, that it probably wouldn’t be at the top of our list.
Everyone that works here is super nice & offers suggestions. The food is absolutely amazing- the blueberry muffins are thee best, & the pineapple/orange juice mimosa is worth the visit all by itself!!
Came to visit IN for a couple days and I am very happy I found this cute spot. As soon as I came in I knew it was going to be a 5 star experience. I had the surfer girl omlet, with the potato casserole recomended by my lovely waitress and a blueberry muffin. I was also delighted with their freshly swueezed orange juice. Will definitely return when I come to Indy.
I sat at bar for 15 minutes and was practically ignored by the wait staff until a young lady with cornrows and braids paid attention and asked me was I ready to order. She took good care of me and brought me my scrambled eggs with sausage cheese and bacon. She brought me a strawberry Lemonade mimosa and French toast. She kept me from walking out the door. She deserved her tip.
This is my third trip to another broken egg. First time at this location, we arrived about noon 11/30. Ordered the *The Mad Platter”
Comes with three eggs cooked your way three strips of bacon or sausage, home, fries, or stone, ground grits, and bread with large buttermilk pancake. And for myself I ordered the “country fried steak” a hand breaded sirloin with bacon gravy, serve with two eggs cooked your way, home fries, and muffin. I substituted toast for the muffin. We were greeted right away and given menus very shortly. They were out of decaf coffee and they were out of turkey bacon and coffee was almost cold. It took a while to get some hot coffee but when we did they brought a carafe, still no de-caff. The food was so so, nothing here worth coming back for. The other locations were stellar this one not so much. We even had to send back the Turkey sausage it was dry as a dessert like it was leftover from yesterday lol. The one saving grace was Diana the pleasant little lady that came to check on us. She helped make a less than good breakfast much better.
This was an ok experience. I had the mad platter with scrambled eggs and cheese. It was bad enough they just dropped a piece of cheese on top of my eggs but they weren't even hot enough to melt it. The sausage tasted weird to me, spicy and sweet at the same time. The fresh made blueberry muffin was very good. The mimosas were good too. So, would I go back: maybe. If someone I was with wanted to give them a shot, but on my own, nope.
