Best WLM Reviews

Wicked Chicken is a fun little place to check out!! Absolutely the best wings we've ever had!! They've got plenty of flavors to choose from. We've been several times and have got a different flavor every time and each one has been phenomenal. Service is amazing! Atmosphere is amazing! I promise you won't be disappointed..
Visited on Saturday March 30th after riding on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Really good atmosphere to enjoy some good wings and other food after a ride. We had. group of 11 people and arrived shortly after we finished our ride at around 3:00pm. We were greeted by friendly staff and was waited on pretty quickly. The kitchen was slammed but they did a pretty good job of bringing the appetizers out quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and Creole Dry rub wings. I really enjoyed both especially the sandwich. The wings were spicy but not too hot. My wife had the the burrito bowl but wasn’t to impressed. Others in the group wings and and burgers and both seemed to please. There is an ice cream parlor at the same location in the outside picnic tables where we had our meal. The ice cream was really good. I also sampled one of the Damascus Local brews they had. Overall a great local place to eat.
We first passed this place riding our bikes on the Creeper Trail. Very cool-looking outdoor area with strung up lights and live music. My partner ordered a burger and the waitress asked if he wanted to upgrade his burger. He asked what exactly does the upgrade include? She replied, "You get to choose how you want the burger cooked, and it will be a fresh patty rather than a frozen one". I was blown away by this response. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich but with the honey habanero sauce on the side. They brought me a sandwich with an obviously frozen thin piece of breaded chicken and the side of sauce was honey in a small container, no heat at all. I really wanted to like the place and support local business but was very disappointed. I would suggest trimming down the menu and concentrating on the quality of the food. Really great location and atmosphere, service was prompt
Had the chicken sandwich with mango habanero sauce, a local tap beer, and ice cream. All were delicious. Service was friendly. Vibe was awesome, geared towards trail folk. Dog friendly. Love to hit this place after the VA Creeper. Right there when you come off the trail! Wasn't busy on this Thursday afternoon, but I'm sure it's crazy on nice weekends
I can’t give any star to food. I waited 10 minutes front of the chain. I wanted only ice cream. I didn’t know they serve from the window. Some people told me to go in. I waited another 10 minutes and left without ice cream. Waitress saw me but ignored me. I understand you are busy but at least some contact like I’ll be there etc will be nice. Well I’m done with this place. I know there is very nice ice cream place in downtown so next time only supporting them!
We stopped at this little roadside restaurant at the end of a ride down the VA Creeper Trail. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon but we were seated quickly at the outdoor picnic tables. There was live music and a great relaxed vibe. We ordered a burger, 6 wings and fried mushrooms. The burger and bagged chips were pretty good. The fried mushrooms were the star as they are very unusual because they are sliced mushrooms that are very lightly coated and fried. And then we were very disappointed in the order of 6 boneless wings. It was embarrassingly small served in a big paper boat. They were more the size of popcorn chicken. Barely a substantial one bite boneless chicken ‘wing’. Not only that but I could order two different flavors so I got a ‘wet’ wing and a ‘dry’ wing and the wet sauce ran all through the paper boat and ended up coating my dry wings. The food was ok but I would’ve been embarrassed to serve the order of 6 boneless wings for $10. Anna was our server and she did a pretty good job. She was timely and we received a drink refill.
Freaking awesome place to go to. Amazing servers and cooks!!! Food was bombastic!!!! Going a hundred more time soon!!!
Great service and super friendly staff! I had boneless wings which seemed to be your standard frozen then deep fried boneless wings with buffalo sauce. They weren't bad, I just think there was a missed opportunity to put their own spin on these using fresh chicken. My husband had the Reuben with pulled pork on it, which he was quite happy with. The amazing dish? The reason I'm writing this review? The Pickle Medley appetizer. FANTASTIC. A mixture of fried dill spears, fried pickle chips, and spicy fried dill slices. Oh, and fried banana pepper slices. FANTASTIC, I say, as a fried pickle conneseur. They were perfectly cooked, crispy without being overdone. The batter was thin coated and not bready or gummy at all. The pickles tasted homemade and I would swear there was rosemary added to the dill but I forgot to ask. I would come back just for those alone.
I don't know if it's the only restaurant in Damascus but we've come here each time we've biked the Virginia Creeper Trail. It's convenient, priced right, entrees are good, and there's an ice cream stand right across from live music. This is a great little place.
