BEST SALMON IN PITTSBURGH, hands down.
I only eat fish, so I am extremely picky and vocal about the good, the bad and the ugly.
This place, never let's me down and I'd pick it over everywhere here.
It isn't over or under done & has that grilled taste. I always get the Asian Glazed with greenbeans and the beer battered onion rings.
Don't be put off that it's in a loud casino. It's delicious and WORTH the money.

We choose to try this restaurant as we were at the casino and wanted to have dinner. The wait time was 30 minutes even though the restaurant was half empty. Once we were seated, we waited 10 minutes before our server greeted us. We both ordered 2 different types of burgers. I asked for mine to be cooked medium well and it came out well done, dry, and flavorless. It looked and tasted like a burger I could get at Hardee’s. My boyfriend’s burger was completely different in appearance and taste and he enjoyed it. I did notify the server of the burger quality and he asked if he wanted to get a new one but due to the wait time I was hungry and did not want to wait for another one. He spoke to the manager and the manager took the burger off of our bill which was nice. The disappointing part is the manager knew we had an issue with our food and never came over to visit or talk to us about it. The overall experience seemed a bit chaotic and unwelcoming.
Wheelhouse is a lifesaver. If you are in town and want a good meal after 9pm. Come to wheelhouse, because most restaurants close at 9-10pm even on weekend.
Dinning area is huge. TVs on all the walls. Full menu of burger, sandwich, pasta and steak. $24.61 for a big bowl of chicken pasta with a salad is not bad in 2024. Taste better than some of the so call homemade Italian restaurant I been to. Pasta is just right, al dente.
Service is good even they are busy at 10pm. Definitely coming back for more.
Food was great. Tried the chicken wings, onion rings, Cajun chicken sandwich here, everything is cooked to perfection and tasty.
As a Rivers Black Card holder I’ve been to Wheelhouse countless dozens of times. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu, but the one thing I always end up getting is their Wheelhouse Chop Salad with medium rare steak on top. I don’t get salads that often but this hits the spot. The portion is huge, and the mix of walnuts, apples, and pretzel croutons is quite delicious. Nothing else on the menu is worth specifically going there for, just standard greasy unhealthy fattening food to quickly satisfy hunger so you can go back to the tables. I like to sit at the high tops overlooking the water. Sometimes the table/menu are sticky, and the sound of peeling menus off a sticky table is not quite so pleasant. But then again I know their goal is to get you in and out quickly so you can go back on the gaming floor.
First time visit. We had a cup of wedding soup, a cup of chili, quesadilla with chicken and an ultimate cheese burger. The wedding soup and chili were good to very good not exceptional. The quesadilla was good the ultimate cheese burger was excellent. A good place to eat if you are at the Casino.
Not adding identifiable details because maybe server was having an off night, and I have heard horror stories about being an employee at this casino. Not trying to get anyone in trouble. That being said, almost every restaurant is hiring servers, find another job if you hate this one. Immediately could see server was pissed we walked in with drinks purchased in the casino. We decided to eat here on a whim, and I don't make the rules. Felt rushed to order and also felt server's annoyance when one of us just ordered a cup of soup. Rest of the tables food came out quickly but no soup for my friend. Waited at least 5 minutes, no soup, no server. Finally I got up and first person I saw with a badge, asked him to get our soup, got it right away. A few minutes later the server appeared, solely to throw the food runner under the bus. Didn't see them again til dropping the check, didn't ask if we needed separate checks. Was back in a flash "do you need more time with the check?" The place wasn't closing or anything. Exasperated with their total absence when we needed them and now them pressuring us at the end of our meal, I asked "are we your last table?" " You are but absolutely no rush..." HAHAHA. I would hate to work here and I'm sure they deal.with a lot of drunk tourist idiots. We were not 8ntoxicated or demanding, and everyone at the table was in the service industry. No excuse for how unwelcome we were made to feel. Seriously life's too short get a job you can love, or at least give your last table away. Prices reasonable for pub grub.
First time being here and everything is amazing. It's 2 pm so we chose The Wheelhouse for our lunch as we wanted food and alcohol. I ordered the pan seared Salmon and it is absolutely delicious ???? with the scampi sauce and it was very tender and falling apart as it should be. I'm allergic to chicken and chef came out to talk with me to make sure everything would not be cross contaminated as I originally ordered a burger. The portions were big and I had plenty to share with my jealous husband ???? as he ordered a burger ???? that was also amazing ???? we're from Cleveland and we are definitely going to be coming back. Thank you so much for being amazing and awesome ???? we can't wait to see you again.
