Do not listen to the instructions, and they choose your haircut…
Worse experience - for 4 hours I got a shorter hair and balayage which was no difference from my original colour. 4 people were on a rush trying to cut people’s hair around the saloon. Nobody asked if I need a glass of water. Definitely not recommend.
Fantastic salon with very professional and pleasant staff. I've been there twice for a chignon and highlights and the result is impeccable. Relaxing ambience, nice music and professional hair products. I will certainly book again and highly recommend their services-thanks Maison by J.V.!
I had a bad experience there. First, I looked online and the price for a men's cut was listed as 18€. I went there and got an appointment on the same day, which was great. The barber didn't speak English but we communicated in French; I did not feel that he took the time to really understand what I wanted, nor did he ask me if it would be okay to e.g. cut out volume. The cut turned out pretty bad. No parting line, which I had explicitly asked for, took out too much volume, it looked messy overall. Of course I said it was fine, checking quickly after the cut, also because he had been kind of rough during the cut and I didn't want to prolong the procedure. Then comes the surprise as I go to pay: 28€ for a men's cut without washing. They had simply forgotten to update their website. Baffled, I still payed, but I will not return there and would discourage others to go there as well.
The review applies to Ouissem, the hairdresser for men. I've been cutting my hair by Ouissem for years now, once he moved to House by JV I naturally followed him to his new place of work. Strongly recommend !
Fran is the best hairdresser I ever had. My hair is thick and unmanageable. But she has made it really easy to style. Even though normally I am terrible.
Best hairdresser in Brussels by far. Always accommodating with attention to detail.
