Best WLM Reviews

The restaurant was clean, service was prompt and attentive. We were seated next to the kitchen which was off putting (even though there was plenty of tables). The soup was good our table tried the egg flower, and hot sour, both were very good. The appetizers were good BBQ pork was good the shrimp however was a bit underdone and doughy and greasy. egg roll was okay .The chow mein had regular noodles which wasn't a hit with our party. It tasted pretty bland. Sweet and sour pork was good. The pork fried rice was just rice and BBQ pork. Prices were reasonable and servings were plenty. We would go again, but maybe try some different options.
Great atmosphere and service, food is an acquired taste. We may have become too comfortable with fast food chinese, so anything that tastes different isn't good to us anymore. I think others should try it and make their own opinion.
Well I had very high.hopes for a great Chineese lunch. From outward apperances i really got my hopes up.. the decor was traditional chineese restutant, with woodcarvings and reliefs.. We found the menu a little odd. And it was missing some of our favorite dishes. The waitress was great and very attentive. I started my meal with hot and sour soup. It had good flavor but was not hot. I ordered a "build your own combo plate" consisting of sweet and sour chicken, chicken chow mein, and an eggroll.. the Wife ordered pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and Fried almond chicken.
The sweet and sour was the normal fare. The eggroll was either over cooked or reheated, as it was very dry. The winner was the chow mein. It had good flavor and the veggies still had a good crunch to them. My wifes food was a bit odd. The rice was uninspired. It seemed little more thst rice with soy sauce. The most perplexing thing was the almond chicken.. it usually has a white gravey on it.. thus came with a brown gravey that was not a chiken base.. it tasted like beef. It drowned out any almomd flavor. The price of the meal was very low. But I had high hopes.
We ordered 3 things vegetable lo mein, moo shoo pork, and green bean chicken in garlic sauce. The lo mein was good ???? the moo shoo did not have much flavor at all. And the green bean chicken was sweet and did not have much garlic in it.
Service people were nice food was good I would recommend them as a good place to eat Chinese food
How come everyone's version of Chinese foods is different in Astoria through Seaside? I'm generally open minded but right when I think I know what I like the noodles come out hard. Or the bean sprouts take over the whole dish. Or the breaded chicken gives me acid reflux in the middle of the night. I'm sorry, this just isn't a good example.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and it wasn't as bad as a few others are posting but they could use a few improvements with the food. I ordered the #1 combo and the sweet and sour sauce was to sweet for me. Tasted much like flavored sugar and took away the flavor from the fried pork which was good. The pork fried rice had flavor but it could of used more. Maybe add a few veggies to it? I did not think the portions were huge in fact I thought it was average as you can see in the picture I took of the to-go container. We walked in to place our order and the girl that took our order was polite. It's an OK Chinese Restaurant.
Rude waitress. White girl multicolored hair. Ordered a meal for two and caught mad lip when we asked for an extra plate.
