Simply amazing.
Anyone who knows me knows my food standards are extremely high. This place didn't disappoint one bit. From the exceptional service to the decor to the music to the food it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Their chef is definitely one to watch and I'm sure if he had been based down south we would be seeing him on television and most likely with a Michelin star or two under his belt. Each element on our plates was matched perfectly and cooked to perfection.
My daughter was thrilled with her vegetarian moussaka of butter beans and smoked aubergine. My steak was exceptional with a slight smokey flavour that complimented it perfectly. Don't even get me started on their chips which are cooked in goose fat.
I ordered some of their wild garlic mash as I wanted to taste it and wow, it was superb.
Easily the most enjoyable dining experience I have had in a while made all the better by excellent service.
It was fairly priced for what you get though some may find it expensive. Personally I was very happy with our final bill as food and service at this level isn't cheap to maintain.
The best food in Middlesbrough by a mile and one I can't wait to return to experience again and again.
My Husband and I visited after putting it off for a while, due to the location. But on arrival there was on street parking available everywhere, needless to say that won't put us off again! We were very surprised at the menu, it was small but had such variety, it was difficult to choose! The staff were welcoming and incredibly friendly, they offered genuine conversation and recommendations which were spot on. The food was second to none and looked incredible. We will be returning asap!
What an original and varied menu. Difficult to choose when all sounded delicious! Everyone in our party of 8 said how well-cooked and tasty their meals were (so we'll be back to try some of the other dishes soon). Presented beautifully. Service was considerate and friendly. They were a bit short staffed so were running around all night, but a little tray of hot cheesy balls and relish while we waited between courses was a nice gesture from the kitchen.
If you enjoy your food, this place is worth finding.
Hands down the tastiest Sunday Lunch I've ever had! Just enough food and amazing taste. At 3 courses for £20 you can't fall off!
Amazing, friendly staff and lovely food. Would recommend the tarragon crushed potatoes as well as the star anise ice cream. All ice creams and sorbet are made on site and are super yummy! We ended up trying them all :) definitely going again. Would highly recommend
Came on a Sunday for the roast and was very impressed. I ordered the braised pork belly which was truly decadent - pulled apart easily and melted in my mouth while the skin was perfectly crisp. Was in town for work and honestly disappointed I only discovered this place towards the end of my stay.
Superb Sunday lunch.
Had the toulouse sausage salad, excellent potato salad and well cooked and flavoursome sausage.
Main course pork belly, with superb cauli cheese and excellent jus.
Side veg perfect and portion size great
Had a wonderful dinner. Delicious charcuterie to start, then a wonderful, tender fillet steak. I ended with the most delicious pana cotta and fresh coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection, and service was friendly. I will definitely be back!
