Sadly long time ago I discovered that Brits have no taste, and calling average and common food super delicious as long as it's a lot.
It's average, chips are as good as in other fish and chips shops, wanna Haddock (folks Haddock after freezing always keeping that fish flavour, cod will only taste with grease - so pray for fresh one, not old and burned), they didn't have, so I go with Cod.
And honestly, it is not bad, but it's just average, but a price to size ratio making it a great deal.
Average/common thing can have max 3 stars, for price.to size ratio and really lovely nice front lady 4 stars. Well done!
For just over 7 pounds, I had medium cod and chips. Cooked fresh, when the young lady handed me my two sporks and dinner, I could NOT believe the weight of the fish and chips. It must've been close to a kilo and took half an hour to eat as I watched the sun submerge into the sea over Gosport, espying from a grass seat by the bandstand along the lovely seafront. Bargain! Brilliant!
Went to this chippy the other day after switching it up from my usual one I go to. Tasted great, generous servings but the part I appreciated the most is the service. Brilliant chap. Will be back again

Two weeks ago, the chips tasted five stars. Only one today. Taste of boiled, fried potatoes. For the cook's message: a good chip is fried twice. Light yellow at lower temperatures and dark golden when the customer arrives at higher temperatures. This ensures that it is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Outstanding! One of my favourite chippy. The food is always 10/10. Always friendly staff. Portion sizes are really good too. Nothing to complain about!!
