It was the first time there, the food was good and plentiful. I thought the prices were reasonable. The decor was rustic, and I especially liked the lighting. The service was very good.
Chatterbox is the best bar in the world! We’ve been coming to chatterbox for years, and it never skips a beat!
They have world class service, the best drinks & AMAZING food!! A couple classics are the deviled eggs, speciality soup, tacos, loaded fries, nachos with BBQ pulled pork… I mean seriously endless.
The owners are hands on, very personable & so kind. Becca we always come in for, she is the BEST. The whole staff is amazing, Mari, Lizzie & Felicia! Great pours & even bigger love! I would recommend any family, friend, couple to come experience chatterbox, see you there!
We stopped in during apple fest. Enjoyed the outdoor patio, had some awesome fish n chips with fries. Perfect setting for a perfect day. Highly recommend...just keep in mind that this historic group of shops/eateries is a busy hub, especially on weekends. Bring your good cheer and patience, and always be kind to the hardworking people serving you.
Sliders were a great lunchtime choice. Sat upstairs which felt more restaurant-y vs the bar. Lots and lots of TVs on both levels to catch a sportsball game. Solid option in Long Grove and adjacent parking.
The food was good! Ambiance was nice, the decor and feel of the place is super chill and cool. The issue we had was the service. We sat at the bar, bartender took our food and drink order and that was it, we were literally sitting in front of her and she and the other bartender were spending way too much time singing and dancing to pay attention to us again. I mean, it’s nice to see people having a good time, but after we ordered not once did she ask how we were doing or if we needed another drink. Customer service should be your priority, make sure the patrons have what they need, then have fun lol. Oh, I also I witnessed her sneeze right into her hand and go about her work, touching Everything… pretty gross and really unsanitary!!!! Not to mention her LOUD singing along with every song. That was just annoying in addition to everything else. And the other girl, answering her personal phone and having a loud conversation right in front of us. Just seemed a bit unprofessional….
Nice spacious patio with umbrellas. Great service by Millicent. She was very friendly and right on top of things. Three taco special on Tuesday for $9 was a good deal. Beehive Cheddarburger was big and tasty with loaded fries. Will return
Chatterbox was a delight. We didn't know what to expect and stopped on a whim and we are glad we did. Do yourself a favor and try the chatter eggs, I don't even like deviled eggs and was a fan, so... if you like deviled eggs, I'm sure you will love them.
We will be back!
While exploring we decided to stop here for a drink and appetizers. It was crowded but we found seats at the bar. The Rubin egg rolls were the best I've had and the street tacos were very tasty, although I did have to season the meat with some salt. My party enjoyed a variety of beers and I had the Mango Habanero hard seltzer. They had many humorous signs posted throughout, which we found amusing.
