Best WLM Reviews
I visited on Saturday night before Christmas Eve with my wife and 87 year old mother. We spent over 2 hours playing various slot machines. Overall, the experience was rather disappointing. There wasn't a large crowd, which was nice. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. They are in the middle of a renovation, but that area was sectioned off and didn't impact the experience. It is a nice building but it is a rather small casino. I did not have any drinks, and the bar wasn't busy at all. There was a band playing. Kudos for the live music. They played very recognizable songs that should make you want to sing along. However, the band was not good at all. The music seemed rather tired, they were not singing in key, the harmonies were off, and weirdly, the sound of the band and the sound of the slot machines clashed. The individual instrumentals were good, though. There were slot machines that were removed, leaving wooden bases and an overall unfinished look in several areas. This was understandable due to the renovation. However, there were many machines that were marked out of order, some with a nice sign, some had sheets of paper taped to them, and some that were just powered off. Not very professional or inviting. Overall, people did not look like they were honestly enjoying themselves. Rather, it appeared they were going through the motions. I also noticed the machines had a very tight payout. This wasn't only from personal experience but from watching others around me on various machines in multiple areas. Well-balanced odds would at least keep you sitting at a machine for a little while, with some give and take a expected. Their machines did all the taking. Yes, it's gambling, and yes, there's luck involved. Casinos should be an experience, a destination, for entertainment and fun. This venue was not very entertaining or fun. I recommend spending your hard earned money elsewhere if you have that ability.
It was always nice to visit this casino. It's a clean establishment that's not overly crowded (when we go). The machines don't offer large payouts, but they've always allowed you to keep playing. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. It appears they're doing some remodeling and there were hardly any machines to choose from. It didn't matter which machine it was, penny, quarter, dollar or five. It took every cent and wouldn't allow you to play for an extended period of time - about 1 minute is all the play time it offered, and that's being generous. If you have no self-control at a casino, stay away from this one. On a side note, I was going to enjoy a glass of wine while I waited for the others in my party. However, I thought 18.00 for a glass was a bit steep. I get it - inflation.
Me and my brother go 3-5 times a month never a change slots continue to take all of our money.
They say it's new owner now and she has those machines so DARN tight....we use to win all the time nothing big of course but we would win..NOW CAN'T EVEN GET FREE SPINS OR SPECIALS AS AND IF IT WAS A HIT IT WOULD BE 5 CENTS FROM A 1.35 BID.IT USE TO BE FUN TO GO THATS WHY WE WENT SO MUCH..AND THE LADIES THAT WALK THE FLOOR ARE SUPER SWEET..BUT WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THE LAST MONTH OR SO HAS BEEN TERRIBLE NO WINS for anyone but yet the speaker above says another jackpot winner and uS few guests all looked at each other wondering who won.
Than guard told use that's just a recorded message saying that on a timer..WOW THAT DID IT FOR US...
WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!
My wife and I had a great time here. There is no entry fee but you do need a players card (which you aquire at the service desk). We had an awesome meal at Otis & Henry. I had the roast beef open faced sandwich with mashed potatoes and it was fantastic. We didn't win anything but enjoyed playing the slots. There are a lot of machines to play along with other games. I would highly recommend Lady Luck if you're on the mountain.
The worse casino ever..I love the game Dragon Link it would always hit once a week the jackpot.than got new owners and it was the best game there.well new owners no jackpot it always went off between 10-15000 hell me and a Giant group of friends went everyday to play and hit that pot it went all the way to 20000 and not one hit we all complained about not hitting.. then they shutdown Dragon Link come to find out it was tampered with so they lost those machines and many other's..good for them they are only out to steal our money We WON'T NE EVER GOING BACK!!
This was a cool little casino but the tables wouldn't run until late afternoon. Also the restaurant. I got there at noon and had to sit at a bar to eat. If your going to have a high class hotel right next to a casino you would think the casion would be up to the same standards. Wasn't impressed. Staff was friendly.
Large and spacious casino located in the mountains near Nemacolin. Plenty of games both electronic and table games. The interior was very clean, and staff and security we're both polite and helpful. Definitely enjoyed our day there, and actually stayed longer in the casino then we planned as we also came to the resort to play miniature golf and visit their small zoo.
We all had lunch at Otis & Henry's within the casino itself. I've included a picture of the Chicken club sandwich and also of the spinach salad. Nice portions at reasonable prices. Our waitress was quite helpful and very pleasant.
As far as gaming went, I broke even and my friend came out a little ahead so no complaints there. Will definitely go back.
They are under construction so several machines are locked. There's not much winning going on there! Not very exciting there! It's almost one and a half hours from our location. Not worth the trip!
