Worth the trip to College Point, Queens for this Asian delight! Haven’t been to an “all you can eat” buffet in ages. It was a feast for the eyes and the belly. So many different Asian dishes to try and the selection was incredible. They had all my favorites and I tried some new things too. The dishes are constantly stocked and looks sumptuous even though it is a large venue. The staff professional, organized and is so very helpful and sweet. Very clean, very efficient and very enjoyable.
This place is just so awesome. I honestly don't know how they aren't out of business as the price is so extremely affordable for the amount of food you recieve. The food itself is fresh and there's a huge variety from all different types of cultures. Definetely a restuarant you need to go to at least once in your life.
First time here and we were the first person to be called to get in party of two. Got in the location about 11:00am and the parking was already packed! Waited at the front lobby door 30mins they opened exactly 11:30.
This is the first Asian buffet I’ve been to that most customers eating are actual Asians lol. It’s on the fourth floor of a hotel building somewhere in Queens.
Overwhelmed by the amount of food I don’t know which ones to pick first. It was a Saturday and $34.99 per person free drinks and no tipping necessary. I still left my change though. It was worth the effort going crossing the bridge and paying the toll. Must come here after fasting for hours so you’ll fill up your intestine with delicious food. I was excited about the duck. I didn’t expect the tripes, chicken feet and other meat there which is a plus and yummy. The taro was delicious ????
Their restroom is clean and smells fragrant so it can mask up any unwanted odors.
Overall good food will come back and invite more people.
Parking issue , thought when they validate my ticket I won’t pay? On the way out attendant charged me $4.00. I thought it’s free anyways glad I was able to come out of that really tight situation. Cars blocking other cars very busy.
It’s definitely worth the trip. This place offers a wide range of delicious food options, including steamed, fried, and baked dishes, as well as a sushi bar and crepes for dessert. We tried both lunch and dinner to discover their offerings. Dinner stands out with its variety of meat options and delicious flavors.
The buffet amazed with its friendly staff and an impressive array of seafood, sashimi, hibachi[my favourite], and delightful Asian dishes like Peking duck, lamb chop , steamed whole fish and more????.
To relish all the delicious offerings, it's crucial to manage your time wisely due to the limited dining time. Plan accordingly for a full and satisfying dining experience.
My husband’s family has been wanting to check out this buffet for a while, so we stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday at around 1. Surprisingly, the restaurant was pretty full at that time, which I was not expecting. Non-alcoholic drinks are included, even bubble tea! I did not have high expectations for this but it was surprisingly good. I might even say that it's better than some bubble teas I've bought at bubble tea shops. Just make sure you order this when you're ready for dessert because you don't want to fill up on the boba.
For the food, like the bubble tea, I also did not have high expectations. And I was right. The quality is comparable to mall food court food. The best thing I ate was the beef chow fun and the snails (which were always empty, so I only got to try a few). They have a good variety of seafood. For the raw bar, they have sushi, sashimi, oysters, clams, and conch. I did not partake in the raw bar because I was just getting over a stomach virus so I didn't want to take any chances. The cooked seafood was mediocre. The steamed turbot was mushy, crawfish wasn't great, and shrimp was okay. The ginger scallion stone crab was not bad but very messy and hard to eat. You need to request a crab cracker as these do not come standard. After we were done with the crab, we saw other tables with gloves so I’m guessing they were not first timers, and knew to ask for these.
Dessert was also okay. The crepes were not it - the batter was way too thick, which made it chewy. Best thing was the matcha soft serve machine, and the cotton candy machine.
The lunch price for an adult is $31.99, which isn't terrible because there is a good variety. It's just that the variety isn't very good. Dinner prices jump to $52.99 for weekdays. I'm sure there has to be a significant difference in the types of dishes being served at dinner because if it was $52 for the same dishes, I would be pissed if I had to pay that.
Definitely won't be back but I'm glad the fam got to try it because now we don't ever have to come back.
If you find yourself in Queens, NY, and are on the hunt for a fantastic dining experience, look no further than The Buffet. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the level of service. The staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring my drinks were always filled and promptly clearing away used plates. Even though the place was bustling with patrons, the service never wavered.
Now, let's talk about the food. The Buffet boasts an impressive array of dishes, but the sushi bar is truly a highlight. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, the sushi alone makes a visit worthwhile. The duck was another standout, cooked to perfection with a rich, savory flavor. In fact, pretty much everything I tried was excellent.
Of course, not every dish was to my taste, but that's more about my personal preferences than the quality of the food. The variety on offer ensures there's something for everyone, and you definitely get great value for your money.
Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff remained friendly and efficient, contributing to an overall pleasant dining experience. Whether you're a sushi lover, a fan of succulent duck, or simply enjoy a wide variety of well-prepared dishes, The Buffet in Queens is a spot worth visiting.
