Best WLM Reviews
Casual dining in a friendly atmosphere. Family owned and operated. They're only open Friday and Saturday for specific hours, but we've never gotten anything that wasn't absolutely delicious. Service can be slow if they are busy but, in my opinion, is worth the wait. I'm told they will do special events on the days that the regular restaurant is not open. I haven't tried this, but if the occasion arises, I wouldn't hesitate to check them out. The owner makes her own fried pies in various flavors that are absolutely delicious. My favorite is pecan, but again, I haven't found one that isn't absolutely delicious. My wife absolutely loves their coconut pineapple cake for dessert. My wife and I just moved here from Virginia within the last 2 years or so and have found this as one of our favorite restaurants. The lunch and dinner menu are the same menu, but they do a Saturday buffet breakfast that we have yet to try. My wife and I frequently recommend this restaurant to friends and acquaintances.
Highly recommended! Delicious food. Pleasant waitresses. You should visit this restaurant out in the middle of nowhere.
Some of the best fried catfish I’ve had and the fried pies are Delicious
As always the food and service was awesome!
UPDATE: We just had our company Christmas Party and Becky and Carolyn pulled out all the stops. The food and atmosphere were both amazing. We had an awesome supper and was serenaded by Buck Francis for the evening. If you're planning a party or get-together I highly recommend checking out the Brick Oven. Love y'all and see you next time!
We went on a Wednesday and got the chicken special. Fried chicken was nice and crispy, not too much breading and just absolutely delicious. Also very good with the Hot Honey. I also had the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. And then ended it with a deep fried peach pie, which was flavorful and having you crave for more.
The staff was amazing and our server Becky, actually cooked our food and checked in with us after. I will definitely be back!
This place is a great little hidden gem! I am surprised more people don’t know about it! But glad they don’t because it was so nice to not be in an overcrowded chain restaurant like usual! I’m from a small town in Southern Illinois and this place took me back to that feeling of being home! Definitely recommend and well worth the drive !
Absolutely Love The People & This Space! Atmosphere is Welcoming & Food is Amazing! Highly Supportive of The Military Community ???????? Y’all make sure to bring your appetite as well as your love when you visit! If you’re reading this review, Please send the ladies my love when you get there & let them know, I’ll see them again soon! Lots of ♥️, ElizaBeth
This place was great! My mom insisted I check it out, and it lived up to the expectations. The waitress made us feel like we were at home.
