Great seafood boil. Even my picky kids finished and ordered a second round of snow crab. And finished the second one. Great friendly people and atmosphere. Just happened to see this restaurant as we drove into town from Chicago. It will now be our stop coming in and leaving. Family of 5 all got the boils and loved it. Can’t wait to try more of the menu. Other peoples food that came out looked amazing. Huge bar and outdoor seating bar perfect combo.
Place was a little dainty. Waitresses were polite but would take a while to come by the table again. I know the establishment is a sports bar type, but the waitresses' dress code could be more upkept.
The food was pretty good & portions were just right.
I do recommend stopping by for the fettucini.
We had raw oysters and parmesan garlic baked oysters, as well as grouper tacos and low country boil. The oysters were meh, I wouldn't order them again. My tacos were pretty good and the low country boil was pretty good. Service was great. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive
2023-12-28: Well...I went back this evening for the Snow Crab Legs...3 lbs. They were very good! It was fairly busy at 6pm, but Tanya did a fantastic job!
2023-10-13: I had the Lobster Bites appetizer and the Lobster Mac n Cheese. The food was excellent and there was quite a bit of Lobster in the mac n cheese. There were quite a few small flies constantly buzzing around which cost a star in my rating. Someone at the next table ordered Snow Crab legs and they looked very good. I do plan on going again for the crab legs and will update this post.
I was looking to take my daughter somewhere special, with good food. I’m new to the area so I didn’t know many. I searched Google and came up on this place. Oh my Lawd! We ordered The Boil platter, with crab legs, shrimp and mussels, it was scrumptious. The picture speaks for itself. The server recommended the sauce that paired so well with the dish. It was so delicious we cannot stop thinking about it. Definitely worth the money. The seafood was fresh, the people were nice and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend.
Ordered $90 worth of food and it was covered in Alfredo sauce that we didn’t ask for nor was it stated on the website. Most of the shrimp was raw and didn’t realize till it was half eaten also didn’t help that I had to wait 45 minutes past the time it was supposedly done to get my food when I put my order in online. The staff kinda threw it in my face that we put the order in 6 minutes before the kitchen closed when I arrived to pick up my order, which I understand is frustrating but we weren’t aware they closed the kitchen so early. Otherwise we would’ve chose somewhere else but to say the least we were quite disappointed in our order.
Great menu with lots of options for everyone! I highly recommend the snow crab. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, which made for an excellent experience. The bathrooms were super clean and cute too!
Ok so last night had one of the THE BEST dinners in Crystal River at The Boil Yard hands down the best bar style food I’ve ever had. It is worth the drive ???? there was Karaoke when we were there and the dining room is far enough away to save your eardrums. The food is reasonably priced and we also enjoyed a draft beer and mixed drink. Next time you’re in Crystal River, give this place a try. It’s family friendly and reminds me of a Joe’s Crab Shack ❤️
