WOW-ZAH! The Blue Heron Cafe!!
have been craving a good burger - for weeks. So I decided to try a place nearby with a great word-of-mouth following & reputation.
WHAT A FIND ( ok, NEW= To Me)
This was the most amazing Char grilled-hand made Burger I've had in YEARS!! All topped with sweet grilled onions & the freshest butter lettuce, ripe juicy tomatoes, & BBQ sauce (on the side)......this level of burger was totally unexpected! I got a lovely fresh salad on the side- Yum!
The Blue Heron Cafe = is WAY more than a local sports bar! ☆☆☆☆☆ Cheers to the Chef! And to your sweet bartenders!
Food is great, staff is great! Owner is very friendly and welcoming, likes to mingle with customers! Seems to have regulars, they are all so very nice, friendly. Cheers like bar, atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Such a great local place. Killian's taste great, portion are so generous. Italian beef sandwich is out of this world.
This little bar is tucked away behind a motel. It was nicer than that description sounds. There were a couple of games going on with several TVs and some background music, but it wasn't so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation. Actually a very nice place to stop by and have a couple of beers and just chill out. We had a few drinks, but didn't have any food.
Tucked away bar with cold beer and handmade thin crust pizzas. Far and away some of the best pizza in the area (sausage giardiniera). Bartenders, owners and other patrons are always friendly and in a good mood. Has a nice patio out back that is dog friendly and has TVs. The Blue Heron has become our go-to local bar.
I live this place. It's been there for like 35 years. It was a little updated just before covid. Basic bar menu and very nostalgic which I love. Just three basic beers on tap which I also love. You gotta check it out. It's got an old golf course club house feel to me. Try the easy drinking Killians on tap. Tell him Andy sent you!
If you like a nice friendly bar this is the place. Good food, very reasonable prices and big portions. Bring cash. No credit cards.
Great local bar where everyone knows everyone, I didn't know anyone & still felt welcomed! Their Friday night fish fry, especially the walleye, is a must!
