Great little hidden gem. Google told me to come here otherwise I never would have stopped. You have to pay for parking on the street with the meter but that’s the only negative. They have been around forever and have some great food. I got the mushroom chicken sandwich and it came out hot and very fresh. It seemed to have a very steady crowd during lunch time. I would stop here again.
Work brings me to Shreveport once a year and I try to fit in at least one meal here. Always enjoy my meals at The Blind Tiger. Started out with a cup of gumbo which was delicious. The Catfish Grand Bayou was the star though (just look at the photo). That breading was crisp to the last bite and the fish itself was very good. No mud taste here. The crawfish etoufee was a good compliment and not overpowering. Cajun corn is fun. Jambalaya style rice was the only letdown. It was a little cold and bland. The bread pudding is my favorite dessert on the menu. Noted the restaurant had pretty steady business even on traditionally slow nights (Monday and Tuesday). Will definitely be back.
Just wanted to share about my positive experience here in April 4th. This was the first place where I had a date with my significant other. The blind tiger does not make reservations usually. I called ahead and asked if they could reserve a particular table so my girlfriend and I could re-enact our first date near our one year anniversary. Not only did they reserve the table but they took the time to place a small bouquet of flowers on our table. Unreasonable hospitality came to mind... The food was delicious, hot and served in a very timely manner. The service as previously mentioned was top notch. Many thanks!

I don’t know where to begin to say just how amazingly wonderful this place is. First of all I remember coming to this restaurant back in 1998 as a little boy growing up eating this amazing food. Fast forward to today on yesterday I had an awesome sever she was very tentative checking on me to make sure if I needed anything 10 of 10.
Ate here while visiting the area for work, I was very impressed. Got the Cajun sampler and really enjoyed the flavor of everything on it. The vibes were also really nice, I couldn't easily find any history on the place but it's evident it has some. Only downside is you gotta be mindful of finding parking, but otherwise fantastic place.
Hubby and I came for a break from Texas. Miss Milli, THE ULTIMATE BARTENDER, was so sweet! Honey, homegirl was amazing with those drinks! The food, is absolutely what Texas is missing, DELICIOUS! Thank you for having a fantastic establishment!!!
The most amazing Cajun food I’ve ever had!!! I went twice this weekend and got the Blackened catfish and the blackened shrimp. Also tried the Red beans and rice and they were absolutely amazing…. Going to need another trip to Louisiana so I can visit The Blind Tiger again!!!
