We visited this venue twice in one day purely by chance on a day trip to Antwerp. The Staff are very friendly and welcoming, everyone speaks great English and the service is excellent! The food was served fresh and warm alongside superb attention to detail. The overall experience was very enjoyable and we left feeling satisfied and content! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a simple brunch or a proper meal!
Oh the dishes were lip smacking. The quantity is huge. The ambience was pretty. And dessert had amazing taste.
The food seemed fresh to taste and it was completely soul filling.
If you have come from US then this restaurant serves the same quantity as it is served in a good restaurant in US. So you can order accordingly.
My dad and my sister were sitting at this bar drinking and waiting for me and my mom. My mom and I had literally just got there, we sitted with them. The server asked what we wanted, and we didn’t want anything, we were just gonna wait for them to finish. She said we couldn’t sit there. It was really absurd and all of us left immediately. Absolutely do not recommend this place.
I've visited this place twice now. Both times the food was so-so.
The Vol-au-vent had a weird taste (I guess it's personal, but I never had such a taste ever.. AND I REALLY LIKE THE DISH). The second time I had the pasta with fruits from the sea; it was watery, sand taste here and there and just tasteless in general. The wine, however, was wonderful.
The service was better than the food, but one man in particular was much less friendly. He couldn't greet or smile. Another woman by age, was much more respectful and was open to criticism about the Seadish.
The atmosphere is wonderful, though. A location worthy of the city and many beautiful things as decoration. All in all, this is their strongest category.
Sadly, I won't be returning, as the quality of the food could be better. And I do believe that is the most important thing in a restaurant.
Located next door to Reubens house this place is a solid option. We came for lunch and sat out front on the shaded courtyard. It was rather busy but service was prompt. The food was very good. I’d definitely eat lunch here again.
First time visiting this place and accidentally ordered something typically represent Flemish dish!! ???? The Beef Stew was super delicious and savory!! It was cooked with Belgium dark beer but you won’t get drunk when eating it:)!!???? the menu comes with fries and super tasty too!! I would definitely want to come again! Huge recommend!!
(BTW atmosphere was so cosy here!)
Delicious waffles, cosy atmosphere, but service colud be much faster.
Had the pork chop and was surprised it came so thick! Although it was thick, the meat was still soft and juicy. However, the sauce is quite light in taste and I had to add more pepper to it. Atmosphere was okay but the pricing is on the higher side.
