My new favorite salon!
David and his team (including the lovely Kylie) were fantastic, hilarious, and very personable. Plus, there was no screwing around -- these guys got down to business, and their customers benefit from that.
When I came in, I thought I wanted to do the new white/grey look that's all the rage. David actually gave me the skinny on color, and why it would probably not be such a good idea for me (I like low maintenance hair, and my hair doesn't take light color well, so I'd be in all the time). So instead, I did what others have recommended -- I sat back and let David do his magic. The man knows his color and cut (he's been doing it for 29 years, and it shows).
I am so happy -- he gave me this beautiful dark base color, with really subtle, but bright purple highlights. I look like a totally different woman, and feel fabulous.
Additionally, the salon is a hoot -- lots of colorful personalities and many, many long-time clients. Needless to say, I'll be joining those ranks.
Kristen is the ONLY person who is allowed to touch my hair. She's amazing. I've been to every salon she works at and will continue if she leaves this one.
As for the salon itself, it's clean, has comfortable seating for waiting, but parking is a hit or miss.
This review has nothing to do with the salon. However it has to do with a certain Stylist that is no longer working at the salon. Another Client using this platform named Alyssa, posted a detailed review on this stylist 5months ago and Alyssa was spot on giving her honest feedback. I am no longer a client because of the Stylist horrible mannerisms. She was consistently dishonest, rude, messy and unprofessional. Hence why I am no longer a client. I’m happy to know she no longer works at scandalous because it would be a bad representation of the salon and it’s business. I heard she now works at Touch of Paris Salon, good luck to future clients. Go at your own risk!
The atmosphere at Scandalous is fun, superb, quite and upper-class. I find it relaxing to visit and reassuring that I know the quality.
My stylist for 10 years has been Elana. I adore her, and I've never had a problem.
Kaitlin is a miracle worker. She transformed my brightly colored hair into a beautiful red and did it with a great attitude. I'm thankful for her help and will definitely be returning to her in the future.
This review is regarding Josette, not the salon or staff itself. Josette is horrible with scheduling her clients/time. I also believe the only color she knows how to do is light brown with lots of copper in it (not near the color we discussed or even close to the swatch.) If you don't know Josette, oh you definately will by time your appointment is over. You'll know everything from the negative about her past salon employer to her ex-husband to her new man and how they came about while still married. I mean come on now. If you can't do your work like a professional at least act like one. Never again!
Awesome haircut! Came to see Anthony for the first time today and will definitely be a regular. So very happy with the new cut. I'm VERY picky with my hair, not easy to please. Take a chance on white pants! (He was wearing white pants lol)
I have to say my experience here was really subpar. The person who washed my hair told me a story about being on drugs and the man who cut my hair seemed very confident in his abilities, yet he did not do a good job with my layers.
