Best WLM Reviews
Food was good. Had the blackened seafood platter and it was cooked well and had good flavor. Large portions too! We also had the chicken salad croissant and it was also good. The view is great. The restaurant overall is run down and dirty. Very surprising given the high caliber of resorts that are here. Owner should take some pride in the building and repair/paint the ceiling, wood accents and for heavens sake clean the disgusting carpet going upstairs to the bathrooms! I'd give it a big F on appearance. Food is good, just don't look around and hopefully the kitchen is cleaner than where you are eating.
I love this place! They gave an awesome vibe with gulf views! They have a pool for the guests to use. A beach entry and awesome food! You can beat it! I love the Mango Tango ????
Great Beach View - Beware of Tip-adding waitress! After a late morning enjoying the beach at the Hilton. We decided to have lunch here. The beach view from the outdoor seating area is great! Since there wasn't a table available we sat inside (run down interior). It took the waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us, she said, "You're seated at a table out of our line of sight." Truth be told we sat at a window booth/table against an interior wall with other diners around us. How she missed us I cannot say. We ordered pulled pork sliders, chicken tenders basket, and a cheddar burger. When the tab arrived, a 3.5% service charge /convenience fee was added. With our tip the bill came to $59. A month later when my credit card statement arrived, I discovered the waitress, Kristen, added a dollar making the charge $60. How unscrupulous of her, just think if she does this to every table she serves in a day and throughout the week? I probably should mention it to management, but decided to handle it through my credit card company. So it does pay to review your tab as well as checking against your credit/debit card statement.
After some VERY slow beverage service to get the night started, redemption came with better service and fantastic food. Grouper bites were delicious! The beach house nachos were incredible! (And could feed 3 people!) We will for sure come back here the next time in town, but with the hope that we don't have to wait over 20 minutes for our first drink.
Right on the beach. You have to enter the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort property to get here. Service has always been friendly, even on really busy days. We enjoyed the fish dip with crackers and crab cakes.
Wanting to try something new, we decided on the Beach House Restaurant in San Destin, Florida. GPS took us right to the large parking lot that did not cost anything to park in. While one may be tempted to hurry and find a parking space, do not forget to drive closer to the restaurant and see if anything closer is available. We found parking near the restaurant and after a short walk up some stairs outside it brought us where the host was waiting. This area also overlooked a pool that had a tiki bar as well. After showing us to our seats, the server was very attentive and service was great, the food was great, the atmosphere was, well, great. For a view of the Gulf of Mexico we opted for a table outside on a partially covered deck that allowed glimpses of fighter jets that were flying on training missions.
For lunch I had the blacked Mahi-Mahi sandwich and a cold draft. Man, that was perfect. My wife ordered something with shrimp that she raved about, and my daughter ordered a Chicken Ceasar salad (of all things lol). Every time we went back, we ordered the same meal every time. If it is not broken, do not fix it. I would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again next summer.
The waitress could not be bothered with our table. The food took quite a while and wasn't terribly busy for the wait.
The view was amazing. The live music was nice. The drinks were good. The rest of our visit was a disappointment! The restaurant was dirty. The stairwell and hallway to the bathroom smelled like an old skating rink (a dirty sweaty wet sock!). Overall the place needs to be updated and deep cleaned. The food was not impressive and neither was our server... both overpriced for what we received. I seldom give low ratings but we looked at a lot of places before choosing The Beach House. We expected better.
