I was on a road trip and stopped at this spot. I was craving BBQ and it was neat to see a homemade BBQ spot. The food was great. I got the most popular item, which is the tri tip sandwich combo. The tri trip was tender and not too much seasoning, you could actually taste the tender meat. The bread was buttered and toasted. The atmosphere and customer service will have me coming back here when I make this road trip.
I’ve tried various Tri-Tip Sandwiches around Ventura County and by far this is my favorite sandwich. The meat itself is delicious, the bread roll is simple, but flavorful, and the homemade BBQ sauce is the best! The spicy is actually really spicy, so what I do is ask for “half and half” which is half mild, and half spicy BBQ sauce. The homemade chips are also really great! This is a must get for me every time I’m in Fillmore.
I seen this place when I was passing by and the smell is what caught my attention. I got the 3 beef rib plate with the spicy BBQ sauce and it was amazing. The flavor of the BBQ sauce had just the right amount of spiciness, it really complimented the real tender ribs perfectly. I will definitely be coming back to try something different, until I have tried everything on the menu. I would recommend everyone try this place.
Delicious! Hubby had the tri tip toasted sandwich and I went with the pork ribs. Their in house bbq sauce was perfect, employee who helped us gave a sample and was very nice too. They make their own chips too. Not at all greasy. Would be back if they weren't so far from where I live.
5 out of 5! I only had the tri tip sandwich with a coleslaw side but it was SO good. The bbq sauce had a little spiciness but it went perfectly with the sweet coleslaw. Definitely coming back to try more. The owners are a family and we're really nice as well.
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and feel like part of the family at this point. The owners really make you feel welcome and the atmosphere is your authentic small business casual which makes me feel right at home in my lunch break stopping in for a bite. Raul, Melanie, Lupita, Lupe, and Raul Sr. Really go out of their way to bring the people of Fillmore quality BBQ and it shows in their home-made sauce and snappy potato chips. 10/10

Bomb tri tip sandwich! I get mild BBQ and it's just right, it has a spice but not spicy, I would say all the sides are good as well just depends on what you want. Inside is small just a quick sit, eat and on your way. (We order on the phone before going)
