Went to The Back Porch Restaurant last evening. I had heard great reviews of this establishment. They were all right. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and the atmosphere was out of this world. There were several servers that checked on the table, but the main young lady was Jennifer, who did an outstanding job. If you go and get the chance, sit outside on one of the porches. The views are very nice. It is another reviewer who started "of the beaten path" but, in my opinion, well worth the drive.
This is a hot little spot tucked into Alpine Bay right on lake Logan Martin. We enjoyed our visit. Our group had a little over 20 guests and while the wait was fairly long, there is good reason why many flock to this out of the way destination. The food was fantastic and our service was on point. With a large group on Saturday afternoon, in a very busy restaurant, it is easy for a server to lose sight of the individual and miss many details, but our experience was very good. I will return.
So I have been hearing about this "off the beaten path" restaurant for quite a while and decided to take a trip to see what the hype was about! The hype is real!???? The food is awesome, the service is great, the Lakeview is spectacular! Did I mention how great the food IS!????♀️The prices are reasonable! If you have been wanting to go to the back porch, do not put it off any longer! Go, NO RUN as soon as you can!!????
First time here and we were NOT disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. We look forward to our next visit.
Very yummy tacos! It’s a very casual atmosphere with tons of tasty sides. We loved the corn nuggets. You can also feed the ducks for free. View is great off the river as well.
Service was great. It was a Sunday, which may explain why they were out of everything. Tuna Dip was yummy, boom boom shrimp was okay. When our dinners arrived, the fried shrimp were great, but they ran out of fries and brought these little leftover pieces of fries. My steak was cold, but baked potato was good. We will try again on a week night.
It was our first day going there and was well worth it. Coconut shrimp were massive. I just downloaded the latest menu pics. Crab claws, fried mushrooms, and catfish nuggets were also very good.

Great food, amazing server and how can any time near the lake be bad!!!! What a great way to unwind with the best of friends.
If you go somewhere like this in a hurry, you are cheating yourself.
Places like this are meant to be savored and soaked up. A time away from the rush.
Recommend it everytime!!
