I have found the food here to be very good, particularly the chicken wings. Some of the waitresses leave a lot to be desired. I don't get a warm feeling from them, I don't know why they're so mad. Last time I went the waitress dumped a soda in my lap. Even though she was apologetic, it has put me off this place. I'm never rude to waitresses or waitstaff because I know they have a difficult job. Cindy was the last good waitress I had there, she was attentive and friendly, but sadly she is no longer there.
We had to make it a quick trip as we were on a time limit. This little mom and pop joint has great prices and wonderful service.
Super yummy dinner meal, excellent place to eat. Live music band, open until 9pm. Great prices and very customer friendly!!!
We had a great experience here! The customer service was the best I have ever experienced. They were very accommodating and friendly. Their appetizers were the best and we will be back
I ordered the footlong hot dog serve with cheese sauce onions and chili, I opted out of the chili. The footlong hot dog was about as thick as breakfast sausage links, it was smothered with cheese sauce in a smattering of onions you ate it with a knife and fork, and couldn't get a piece of hot dog on both sides of the bun for a bite. I also had onion rings you got about eight of them maybe 9:00 they were very good except three of them were the outer layers of the onion in which case the quarter to a third or skin, not ideal. The service was good, the atmosphere was resort bar type.
Everytime I come here its like being back home at a neighborhood tavern. Friendly atmosphere, nice food choice, GREAT BURGERS & Sweet tator fries, simple drink choices that help keep a steady pace. The servers are friendly here too. I do miss the pool table though ( dang covid craziness! ) Beer, Wine & Coolers here, NO HARD LIQUOR.
Wow. Just wow. First, Cindy was just incredible. She kept our glasses full and took care of every request with a big smile on her face. The burgers were exceptional! We will be back.
The Back Forty is truly a staple of Mountain Home. They have been around for 35+ years and are STILL cranking out great food. Their 1/2lb burgers (Barnbuster) are great, and their 1' chili cheese dogs are awesome. If you're not from Mountain Home area, you must stop in and give it a try.
FYI They recently switched to cash and local check only. They have an ATM inside if you need it.
