Best WLM Reviews

This is a nice bar/restaurant in downtown Goodrich, MI. Over all was a decent meal reasonably priced. They did have a help wanted sign out and they could use it. There looked to only be one to two waitresses for the entire place on a Saturday. The wait was long for the food but saying that the waitress we had was wonderful. She keep up with refills and any needs we had. The food was good we shared a sampler platter of the smoked meats they have. And the mac-n-cheese. The presentation of the meat was not the greatest but I'm guessing some of that is due to the portion amount and smaller plates. The BBQ sauce they use appears to be homemade and it was very tasty. Don't know if they offer it in a bottle to sell but if not they should. The mac-n-cheese was good but needs something to make it really stand out. The decor was nice and they also have large glass garage doors that I'm guessing are open to the patio areas they have in the warmer months. We will be going back in the summer to experience that and some drinks.
Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the egg rolls stuffed with pulled pork for an appetizer. They were good. Came with a sweet and sour dippling sauce. My wife ordered a fish sandwich and a had the smoked chicken wings. I tried the fish and it was good. Had a sweet tasting tartar sauce. The wings had sweet and smokey sauce with blue cheese dipping sauce. Love blue cheese ???? The waitress did an amazing job!! If you're in Goodrich you should try them out ????????????
Stopped in for a beer and burger and was less than satisfied. Set aside the sub par service- The beer that was ordered, thank god as a sample, was completely warm. We were offered a cold glass to put it in to try it again and told that those were just added today. (Apparently no one checked on them/ordered them before us.) all good, we just ordered something else. On to food….
In between a burger and chicken sandwich we decide to go with a burger. I’m not sure if that was a mistake or not, but holy dry. The bottom bun was completely saturated in pickle juice you couldn’t even pick it up and the rest had zero flavor and didn’t even look overcooked, but was just dry and disappointing.
This is the second time I have given this place a shot and have been disappointed both times…. I will not be back.
First time here. We walk in and no one shoveled the side walks. Nice cute place. Menu is way too big. Got an appetizer chips were uncooked and chewy. Couldn’t get them remade that was disappointing. So owner took it off the bill. Got a burger that was excellent, chips were burnt and gross. My mom got fish had way too much batter on it. Kids running around whole time it was kind of annoying. Lov kids but if I wanted to deal with that for over a hour I could have stayed home. Just didn’t expect to deal with that at a pub. Server was great.
I ordered a martini that had cream in it and when I got my martini there wasn't any cream in it. It is obvious if a drink has cream in it. When i Mentioned it to the waitress/waitor they said the bartender said it had cream in it. So they brought us some cream. I ordered a second one to see how it would come and it obviously had cream in it. We ordered steak bites as an appetizer and when everyone else at our table received their appetizer we asked where the steak bites were and the waitress said I'm sorry we are out of them. Why did it take 45 minutes to find out they were out of the appetizer we ordered. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and said it had no flavor so he requested red pepper flakes and added them. The service stunk and the food was sub par.
Went on day with only limited menu. "Cinco De Mayo". Everyone at table got Mexican menu, and no one really raved about it. Portions were good size, but cost pretty high and the wait was incredibly long. Ate on patio and multiple customers brought their dogs with them. I HATE that.
My fiance and I went here to eat for the first time for lunch on November 6th. I got the poutine and he got a 1/4lb burger. The poutine was AMAZING!! Fries were perfect, gravy was perfect, and the cheese curds were perfect. Highly recommend! We went back for dinner the next day (was a lazy weekend for cooking). I got the fish and chips (which were really good (wasn't a fan of the coleslaw but that's just me), and my fiance got the Hawaiian Honey sandwich (the chicken was pounded thin and everything tasted really good together). Then we went back a third time (yes, the third time in a week). Went back on November 11 for dinner. I got the Chicken Bomb as a wrap (which I highly recommend getting. It's less bread to fill up on.) and I got fries and their poutine gravy on the side (I'm sorry, but their gravy is REALLY good). My fiance got the Haus Cheeseburger (1/2lb this time as it is easier to cook a burger to order if it's thicker. He got his medium rare and it was dripping with juices, which is a good sign.). He also got fries and gravy. Hehe
All three times we have gone, we have had good experiences. No issues with wait staff. Oh, I forgot to say that the second time we went we got Not Yo Nachos as an appetizer. We got them with no meat and they were still good. When we went on Nov 11, we did get the fried calamari to try, but we sent it back as it was over cooked. They are strips and not rings. We both agreed though that the breading was nice. We went with the spinach artichoke dip instead, which was quite good. It wasn't heavy on the cream cheese which a lot of places seem to do. So it felt lighter. We will definitely be frequenting The 411 Pub. ????
Rose is awesome! I really can't comment on the food because we only had sweet potato fries. But they were really good. The service at the bar was outstanding. Rose knows!
