Best WLM Reviews

Nestled among the breathtaking views of the Wachusett Mountain, this quaint restaurant offers a tasty meal with an equally picturesque landscape. The sticky pecan rolls and the corn fritters that came with the meal were to die for, and were filling enough to constitute a full appetizer on their own. Next, I tried the Cucumber Martini ( which was a little too strong for my linking), and ended the meal with the Mushroom Ravioli. They were not the best ravioli I have tried, but the sauce made the meal 10 times better. My favorite part of this restaurant was definitely the ambiance and the gorgeous view of the lake, so I highly recommend it!
Located off the main road in the area in an old mill with a small pond, this restaurant has nice views outside and an old fashioned wood feeling from the 1700s inside.
The food is good, including the steak and the fish, but the real speciality of this restaurant are the pecan rolls and corn fritters, which they offer as appetizers, are delicious.
The ambiance and service both were very friendly, was served by Adria who was pleasant and provided great service.
Would recommend highly if you are passing through the area.
The atmosphere was breathtaking! We sat outside and enjoy the water view. The food was amazing. We loved the complimentary pecan roll and fritters. We got the clam chowder, fish and chips, and the roast country duck. Everything was phenomenal!
This was my second visit in the past six months. Roughly halfway between my sister's house in southern NH and my house in Connecticut, it is now our established meeting for lunch location.
The atmosphere is rustic and authentic, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I can personally recommend the burger and the chicken parmesan (served with cheese tortellini). My sister got the salad with steak tips and did not offer to share... so it seems she enjoyed it!
Great venue for parties, receptions, photo sessions, and marriage proposals. Get a table by a window to view the pond and water fowl.
This was our first time at the Old Mill. We heard good things and is always packed so we decided to go for our anniversary dinner. The place was almost empty when we got there, but it's a big restaurant and we went right before the dinner rush. We took a table and five minutes after we got our drinks a lady came into the room with votives for the tables. She put one on each table (empty or not) but our table. My husband thought it was kind of rude. Then, the food came. I got the shrimp and scallop tortellini, it was nothing to call home about, I can make it better, had two scallops and three shrimps. My husband got the steak tips medium well, it came rare, bleeding onto the plate. My husband sent it back, it came back exactly the same. So he ate his sides and took the steak home to cook later.
All in all a really bad experience for a special date.
The only good thing about that place was Preston, our server, he was amazing, funny, attentive, always there when you needed him, great energy and very professional.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Old Mill. The waitress was hospitable and took care of our needs. Loved the basket of pecan rolls and corn fritters. We ordered calamari it was ok.
I had the country roast duck so delicious and tender. My husband had prime rib. Cooked perfectly and good. The only thing I would say there should have been mashed or baked potato not roasted potatoes. The potatoes seemed like home fries. Not the type of potatoes I would serve with prime rib. All in all it was a good dinner.
Always a great (although long 1 hour ride) trip for me and the kids for my oldest child’s birthday dinner. The Fritters and Pecan rolls never disappoint, the Irish Nachos were fresh, hot, and fantastic, and the Teriyaki Steal Tips were juicy and huge! Had a blast feeding the ducks some bread after as well. Thanks for another great meal and birthday celebration!
Went in July for dinner and we ate outside. The table we were sat at was slanted so our dishes were sliding a little but it wasn’t a major issue. The servers were super sweet and accommodated us amazingly. She recommended us the best dishes!! Did get a little buggy out though which was expected on a summer night.
